I purchased two cars within two weeks of each other ~ one in California and one in Maine. I already committed to DAS to ship the car from California, but got both DAS and another company to quote on the one in Maine. DAS came in much higher than the other company. The worst part is that as I sit here writing this, my car from California is stuck in Atlanta at the DAS transfer station. It's been there for 5 days!!!! And now they tell me it could be another week!!!! The car in Maine was picked up on schedule and will arrive here in a total of 4 days. No transfer station!!!
DO YOURSELF A FAVOR, DON'T USE DAS...TAKE IT FROM ME...YOU DON'T NEED THIS FRUSTRATION (FOR MORE MONEY THAN THE COMPETITORS)!! Oh and by the way...the less expensive one is door-to-door! IF my California car ever gets her I need to drive 1.5 hours to go get it at their transfer station in my state. NEVER DAS AGAIN AS LONG AS I LIVE!!!!!

Understanding DAS Services

We, at DAS, are sincerely sorry to hear of your negative experience in using our services. In transporting over 140,000 vehicles each year, we recognize that there are some shipments that will not go according to expectations. In those cases, our customer service team will work with the customer, within the guidelines of the services purchased, in any attempt to remedy the problem as quickly as possible.
Please keep in mind that DAS offers a menu of services that allow each customer to tailor their move to meet their specific requirements. For instance, for the cost conscious customer, there is a program that provides terminal to terminal shipping with no guaranteed transit time. Although the customer is given a rough estimate of the expected transit time, it is clearly explained at time of booking (both verbally and in writing) that transit time may extend beyond the estimate. While the pricing is extremely competitive for this service, longer transit times can often become problematic for the customer.
For those customers with time sensitive shipments, we offer guaranteed transit times, expedited transit times, and a Fast Track program, all available for a modest additional charge. Also, for those customers requiring services from and to the door, a door-to-door service is also available.
Again, we convey our apologies if we failed to explain the level of service you purchased and hope you will find it in your heart to reconsider using DAS in the future.

The saga continues!!! Here it is, my car has been stuck in Atlanta for two weeks and they tell me I have to wait another 3 days. At this point I believe they have a vendetta against me (no, I'm not schizophrenic) because they simply will not ship my car. I call them twice a day to cordially remind them that I'd really LIKE MY CAR, but they not only ignore me...they transfer me from one person to another within the company ~ then in a transfer I get disconnected. Maybe this is their company protocol with people who call daily to try and get their car.
I called them on Friday afternoon to ask who handles their legal because it could be time to get a lawyer involved. This has become ludicrous! Their response was that they don't give out the name of their attorney.
I contacted the shipper of my car I bought in Maine and they will go get the car for me after 3 more days if DAS doesn't have my car here. The charge by the other shipper is $375 to bring the car here 7 hours south of Atlanta to Sarasota, FL. When I asked DAS how much they will refund me for that leg of the trip they told me $99. I called back a day later to confirm that it's only $99 and they argued and said $90. They seriously don't know if they are peeing or pooping.
I'm not a complainer, and for the most part tolerate more than the average person. However, I will make this my crusade and let everyone I come in contact with know that DAS is despicable.
