i received the information right away but going through it all i could find was ways to place classifieds & spend more money. there was no way to get actual data entry jobs without spending more money.

my friend found this already reported & reading through i found it was the same. there is absolutely no way to contact the company, not even one email address.

i'm glad someone had reported this already-i called the bank & filed a dispute with them.hopefully i'll get my $ back!

I was scammed too!

AUTHOR: Janet - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, April 16, 2007

Thank you for providing the number 1-402-323-6600. I actually got a real person. I was scammed for $49.95. The operator told me that the money would be reimbursed back to my credit card w/in 3 biz days. Apparently, this is happening a lot, because she knew exactly why I was calling.

From Experience...

AUTHOR: Jay - (U.S.A.)

Look out ya'll!

I got scammed by dataentry.com and its affiliates (aka same person; "different" sites)

Wrote to the guy ("trusted-in-me guarantee") : did NOT receive any response for 4+ months.

Check out scam as well. "they" actually had the nerve to pose as a victim!

Wrote to BBB and got my hopes up; a week later BBB wrote back saying they couldn't find the scammer (if you check the addresses the scammer is in both Florida and Delaware). And there had only been 16 complaints and some other excuse

SUGGESTION: write to your bank ASAP! That's what I did. now, the thing is, the bank wrote back saying the transaction happened too long ago, sorry, blahblahblah, etc.

Well, the VERY NEXT DAY I got a refund (still have the transaction via e-mail) for my $98!

Banks have the power. I believe!

So, do NOT give up on this *$@%*!$!*%@$ (sorry) and I can't guarantee the next day refund but other victims have gotten through tenacity!

Good luck!

Update!

AUTHOR: Stephanie - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, April 10, 2007

I am happy to report that once I reported the dispute to esellerate along with a very terse email about how I was scammed, my money was promptly refunded.

I highly recommend that anyone who fell for this stupid scam to contact eSellerate using the info I posted previously and get your money back!

If what they are selling is an affiliate marketing opportunity, then what is so bad about saying that? People affiliate market all the time and make good money doing it!

Good luck all,
Steph

I am happy to report that using eSellerate's customer service email (listed in my message above) to dispute my sale through PayPal resulted in a prompt refund of my money. I suggest all of you who fell for this and paid through paypal do the same!

Good Luck,
Steph

Data Entry Made Easy - Possible solution...

AUTHOR: Stephanie - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, March 20, 2007

...Hello. I've read what you all have written, and I just fell into this scam today. Me and my rash decisions!! Anyway, I went to my paypal account (because that is how I paid), and found the following as contact info for the company that actually was paid:

http://www.esellerate.com
paypal@esellerate.com
1-402-323-6600

I have just filed a dispute through PayPal to the seller regarding this transaction, saying that it wasn't at all what it claims to be. Rather than being a site where you fill out forms for companies and get compensated in return, in fact, you are affiliate marketing and placing advertisements on a bunch of free classified pages. Oh yeah, there are a few other lame advertising methods on there as well. And if you're lucky, people might just purchase what you have to offer on those websites that you're advertising. I hope you wanted an affiliate business, because that is what you paid for.

False advertising at its best!

Cio,
