A little over a day ago, I registered at Data Entry Made Easy (dataentrymadeeasy.com) for the outrageous price of $49.95. (The normal price is nearly $100!) I thought they were going to give me data entry work, at least that is what the website looked like. So I thought I'd give it a try.

So I 'purchased' it, and I was given a username and password (I bet everyone is given the same name and pass) so they took me to a training page thing. So I read through all the stuff. OK so uh, where's the data entry work? That's the point! There is no data entry work! It's all a bunch of useless info!

He didn't give any companies to post ads for. Yeah sure, he used an 'example' site called Pay Dot. I was going to register at Pay Dot, but they wanted my social security number, so I told them to get lost. (I think the paydot terms and conditions says they charge fees!?)

There's also this site called Click Bank, but I didn't see anywhere where to post ads. I knew it was too good to be true. There's no such thing as easy money people. If you could make $30 or $50 just by simply posting an ad, everyone would be doing it. But it sure would be great if you could earn money that easy.

Before I joined, I searched, and it said it got a good rating. Review sites are probably owned by the same punk. It's just a way for punks and scum out there to make a quick $50. I can't even imagine how another person would feel if they payed the regular price of $100.

Data Entry Made Easy does not give you work. Just a bunch of useless information. That means you still have to find companies to work for. Yeah sure, you could register at Pay Dot, but do you really wanna give out your social?

I'm currently in the process of cancelling payment on the credit card used, because I know they won't give me a refund. I already emailed the 'customer support' (BS) they didn't respond, and they probably never will. Let this be a lesson learned: No such thing as easy money, and you should not have to pay to work for someone. And people, do us all a favor, don't register at any other websites like this either. I'll just be glad to get my 50 bucks back. I hope Data Entry Made Easy goes out of business.

January 7, 2008 Update [CASE CLOSED]

AUTHOR: Anonymous - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, January 07, 2008

I have good news- I received my credit card statement and it shows that the Cyber Junky Inc. credited my card with the $49.95. I've finally got my money back, after a 2 month battle. I swear to God I'll never fall for a scam like that again. Happy New Year everyone, and please, don't register at this site!!!

It saves to dig deep!!

Check this out!! The thief behind the site "Data Entry Made Easy" owns and operates 3 other verrry similar sites. I almost clicked away $49.95 ...until I dug deeper. It was indeed hard to find bad reviews of this "opportunity". Your comments helped me. But check out this official Better Biz report on this SCAM ARTIST, complete with his location, phone, name, etc.

I truly hope you succeeded in having your refund credited! Probably most folks don't try as hard as you, and surrender to "Mr. Briggs" their hard-earned money....which just lines this guys pockets!!!

Greetings. Thank you for your reply. Yes, there are expenses such as taxes, but what I meant was you shouldn't have to pay any up-front fees. It wouldn't be much of a problem if they just took the money out of a paycheck.

Every business requires investment...

"Let this be a lesson learned: ...you should not have to pay to work for someone."

I wholeheartedly disagree with this statement when it comes to owning your own business. You are still subjected to taxes whether you are employed or self-employed. The main differences are that your taxes are withheld through your employer and when you are self-employed, YOU withhold your own taxes and there're more expenses associated with self-employment. Because "data entry made easy" is a self-employment opportunity, you are required to make an investment into the business (whether it's time or money). In this case, it's both time and the $39.95-$100 membership fee. You aren't working for anyone but yourself in programs like this and that's why there is a fee involved.

I called my credit card company, and the guy said that the $49.95 was credited, but I want to see in in writing. So I'll wait to see in the Jan. '08 statement. I'll let you guys know in the next credit card statement.

Dec. 6, 2007 Update

AUTHOR: Anonymous - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, December 06, 2007

Hey how is everybody? So here's what's new: A week or so ago, I got an e-mail from Data Entry Made Easy, and they said that they credited $49.95 to my credit card, and today I got my credit card statement. Guess what? It's not on there!

Maybe it'll show on the Jan. 2008 statement. But as far as it looks, they haven't credited the $49.95. I'll call the credit card company and dispute the charge. I am determined to get my $50 back. I'll keep you updated.

P.S. Wow, there were a lot of reports filed against this crook in November!

November 19, 2007 Update

AUTHOR: Anonymous - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, November 19, 2007

Customer service is supposedly processing my refund. They said it should take between 5-10 business days. But I won't hold my breath. I will only believe it when I see it. But of course, if they don't give me my refund like they said they would, I'll just continue to email them.

I have received a response from both the BBB and the FTC. The FTC said that they will save my report in their database, and if enough people report Cyber Junky Inc, then they will take action.

The response from the BBB was that the Cyber Junky Inc responded to the BBB's notification of my complaint. The response was that my refund has been successfully processed. But like I said, I'll only believe it when I see it. Check for more updates.

November 16, 2007 Update

Well, it turns out that there customer service actually does exist. They won't reply via email, you have to log on and check the status of the report (in the notification email, there will be a password they give you) there you may reply with the staff. The staff there are trying to bribe me to stay with Data Entry Made Easy. Heh, he even offered to pay for another 'partner' site, which looks identical to Data Entry Made Easy. I have reported Data Entry Made Easy to the Better Business Bureau, and the Federal Trade Comision. If they will not give me a refund (I'm going to persist with these people) I will charge the $49.95 back to 'Billy Briggs'. Hopefully the F.T.C. will close him down. Aynone who's fallen victim to this work at home scheme, I urge you to report them to the Federal Trade Comision. I will keep you posted with the latest news.
