I searched the internet for data entry jobs. I came to www.dataentryportal.com and it seemed legitimate. First, I paid using paypal and did not recieve my user name and password. Then I began looking after this company and it seems others have labeled it a scam as well. In fact, I have yet to find any satisfied customers.

I opened a dispute with paypal, claiming "item significantly not as described", one day later, I got an email back from paypal, claiming that I should have read the user agreement (of Paypal) they do not cover the "quality of goods delivered". Still not having received my username and password, I read the user agreement of www.dataentryportal.com, and discovered that a request can be entered for a refund BEFORE receiveing your login information, so I did.

The response to my email? I got my username and password. Even though their records obviously indicate that I requested a refund days before they sent it to me, I still did not get a refund. So much for keeping themselves to what they wrote in black and white, in the user agreement.

To my surprise, I entered my username and password and it led me to a static webpage, one that can be accessed by ANYONE directly, without knowing a username or password. Here is the link to show you:
http://store.dataentryportal.com/data-entry-portal--members-portal.html

It is actually a YAHOO! Store that they are using to list their links!!! The links that claim to offer data entry jobs are not that at all: they are links to companies, none of which are usable by international applicants, only U.S. residents; I have yet to find one that is hiring at the moment and the rest require ANOTHER fee to be paid.

Do not register with www.dataentryportal.com, keep your $57 and if you are still REALLY interested in dataentryportal.com, check out the above link.

Just to give some examples of the so-called opportunities they offer on their members only page:

Team Double-Click: www.teamdoubleclick.com (claimed to be a data entry job opportunity)

D&L Typing Service: www.medicalreport.com (dead link!)

R+B Sten-Tel: www.rbsten-tel.com (a transcription service provider, but does not have openings)

Talk 2 Type: www.talk2type.net (purchase of special equipment required)

And there are less than a dozen more, but are ALL fake. No real opportunitiy here, just a scam, so BEWARE.
