Datamoneyonline - Gene Truman Set-up to lose over $200.00. Company offers registration to access member's site at low cost, then doesn't allow access and continues to collect from credit card. Miami, Florida

I saw an add for an online home based data entry position. I registered at a cost of $8.85 Canadian to access the members' site and determine if it was something for me. I had read that no charges would be made to me unless I first began to earn money after trying their program.

Unfortunately, I was unable to access their program after registering and making this payment. It stated to contact the support department (contact us) which was an email address. I contacted this department at least 4 times within a few hours and would receive return emails indicating my email had been received and someone would get back to me.

When no emails regarding my difficulty were forthcoming, I sent an email indicating that I wanted to discontinue/close the registration and was no longer interested. Over a period of 7 days, I sent 8 emails with no actual response other than electronic indicating the emails had been received.

I looked at my credit card bill and noted that I had been charged $217.43 in addition to the $8.85 Canadian. On the credit card bill, where the receiving party was listed, was the phone number for datamoneyonline.com, which was not provided in the ad.

I contacted my credit card company who advised the charge was put through by that company. Thankfully, my credit card company contacted datamoneyonline with whom I spoke, given a cancellation number and told I would be reimbursed when I contacted their refund department through email, which I did immediately. My contact at the credit card company told me that if I had problems obtaining a refund, to contact them again and they would help obtain the refund.

At this point, the refund department is refusing to refund the money so I will be contacting the credit card again. In my opinion, I have been a victim of fraud.
