Dave Gillon/Dave's Automotive charged me $963.47 to replace EGR, Valve cover gaskets & shifter shaft seal & cable replacement. Went back 5 times and valve cover gaskets still leaking, egr engine light still keeps coming on and I am having trouble when I put car in reverse! Pompano Beach Florida

I went to Dave's Automotive on 2/10/2015 and was charged $963.47 for replacing shift shaft cable and seals, EGR replaced and valve cover gaskets replaced! I have been back 5 separate times and have called numerous times to have the owner Dave Gillon, fix what I was charged to be fixed in the first place! I went back again on 12/11/2015, after having my car checked by a mechanic telling me that Dave's Automotive is responsible for fixing the car since I was charged for it. The owner claimed to have replaced the valve cover gaskets again and when I got home it was still leaking the next day. Also, the car when put in reverse, hesitates before engaging with the shifter shaft!

On 2/27/2016, my mechanic friend and I went back to Dave's Automotive and my friend told Dave the gaskets are still leaking and since she is your customer (meaning me), you need to fix this car for her because she has already paid you. Mr. Gillon told my friend "take that s**t somewhere else and to leave before he punches him out". Mr. Gillon would not speak to me that day and since then I hgave made two phone calls asking him to call me back and make my car right! He told me on the phone, "since you brought that a*****e friend here, I don't want anything to do with you or your car and hung up on me".

I also told Mr. Dave Gillon, that I had taken my car to another independant autmotive dealer and they took pictures of the leaking gaskets and put down on the invoice that they needed to be replaced!

Elderly people and women should stay clear of this business. Mr. Dave Gillon, owner of Dave's Automotive will take you money and never do the work!!!
