I purchased the Double Your Dating PDF ebook on 9/8/2017 for 14.97.

In the website's FAQ, it is clearly written:

"Am I signing up for any recurring payments?

We will never automatically subscribe you to any monthly commitments.

If you choose to accept the Monthly Interview Series (by checking the "Yes!" box in the shopping cart), you'll receive a free interview and if you decide to continue your subscription, we'll send you a new interview every month. You'll then be billed $19.95 every month, on the anniversary of your purchase (or $22.95 if you're out of the U.S.)"

I never checked the "Yes!" box to sign up for recurring payments.

Then, on 10/8/2017 I was charged 19.95 (I thought it was a late notification from Paypal for the original ebook purchase), and on 11/8/2017, I was again charged 19.95. This is when I realized I was being charged monthly.

I asked for a refund of the two months I was charged, $39.90 total. This request was denied repeatedly.

David DeAngelo refunded the two months

AUTHOR: Andy - (United States)

POSTED: Thursday, January 11, 2018

Hi, I can report that David DeAngelo refunded the two months of charges that I was unaware of. The whole process did take two months, and they refunded with a caveat, which I am reproducing below... but, I am satisfied since they did refund in full what I asked for.

"Hello, we have researched this incident using our ticketing system, as well as your original purchase records and communications.

You did order the interview series - this is the exact order form you used: https://vg201.infusionsoft.com/app/orderForms/5f36725f-ddd6-4f74-b77d-5f604c1c45c5

If you wanted to order without the interviews, you could have done so by following the various links throughout the order page to go to a different form without the interview series. You can see those links right below the checkout buttons, and in the FAQs on the order form. The interviews are part of this order form, you can see they are even shown graphically in the cart and in the product features.

Additionally, the description of the interview subscription on the order page clearly states that after 30 days you will begin to be charged $19.95 a month.

The FAQS you have chosen to show are all correct, but they are not relevant to your case because you did order the subscription.

However, Trish's response to your email about it was incorrect. You requested a refund on 11/9, which was one day after the 11/8 charge for your series. It was 31 days past the original charge as well. Our refund request period IS 30 days. She should have refunded your payment, and as a courtesy, your first payment as well since it was at 31 days - technically its outside the refund period, but I would have done that had it been me answering the ticket.

In light of our support staff's failure to handle your ticket correctly, I will be refunding your payments for both $19.95 charges back to your original payment method.

Thank you"
