David & Goliath Moving & Storage Big Boy Moving & Storage Co. be ripped off call d,n,g. Norcross Georgia

I made a move from ma. to fl. the end of Dec. 2015 I went on line to check out david & goliath movers, everything seemed ok. I called to schedule a move, talked to paul the estimator I gave him all the information he neded for the quote. the quote was $1,800 total for approx. 57 pcs. He wanted $543.00 up front to secure my move. he told me he had to receive the money that day to keep it at that price, which was a lie. the date of the quote was on 10-15-15. Ireceived a call mid dec they wanted to come ealier and by doing this i would qualify for a piggyback move which will save me money, that was a lie.

the movers came on the 19th. it wasn't david and goliath it was big boy moving & storage co i was a little hesitant to have them take my furniture, I don't know anything about this co. they arrived in a white dingy old box truck there was no writing on the truck. they had everything on the truck and then i went to sign the paper work and i noticed that the $1,800 was for a one way move, and i had to pay another $1,800 when they arrived in Fl. I flipped out about this and i did not want to pay the extra $1,800. so the lead driver threatend me and said he was going to take the stuff of the truck and just leave. I had no choice i had to let them take it. In david & goliaths paperwork the tiny print say's they could use other venders in place of them, but it doesn't tell me that up front who they were going to use. I should have been told they were going to switch movers, I went on line to see about this company after they left and it had nothing but bad reviews. I signed the contract with david & goliath not with big boy movers i called their office and the co. said that big boy was an affiliate of david and goliath. they arrived 11 day's later in fl. before they they would take the furniture off the truck they wanted cash up front i didn't have all the cash i needed to pay some of it in credit cards, they said no way they can do that so they got back in their truck and started to leave and my son n law stood in front of the truck so they could'nt leave I had to call their office and beg them to take the balance by credit card. the price i was quoted for 57 pcs grew to 98 pcs. I started to check my furniture and there were several items that were broken and my desk had a huge gash on the corner, and my computer was missing. I called david and goliath i had to make a report out. I had to have all these items verified and had to have complete paperwork and receits on everything, naturaly i could'nt do that but i did have all my papers on the computer. so i filed the information on that and because i didn't have their top of the line ins. which i couldn't afford they were going to give me .06 cents a lb. my computer weighs about 4 lbs so at .06 a lb i had to make 5 sheets of paperwork for .024 cents i paid $600.00 for my computer and they were going to give m a quarter for my computer. my computer was stolen plain and simple. they deceive you and lie to you and take advantage of you if your a senior citizen I'm 70 years old and had 3 heart attacks including a triple by-pass. they had me so stressed out i almost had another heart attack.
