David Kemerer with Basic Basements Con man Contractor took money and did not finish basement finish Parker CO

I would not advise you to believe David's rebuttal. My claims can be verified at Douglas County Government's Building Department in Castle Rock, CO.  They suspended his priviledges to pull permits because of his insurance fraud.  The insurance papers he filed with Douglas County were forged.

 It is untrue that this basement at 60%. At the time that we start working on this project walls were already painted, the carpet was already put in. The only thing remaining was to put the bathroom vanity in, the bathroom toilet, the doors and the baseboards. The total amount of this contract with $16,800 and the homeowner stopped making payments at $14,833. She said the numbers changed but it was because originally she did not have a bathroom being done. Then I gave her a dollar amount of $2500 to do the bathroom. She took advantage of the situation by having floor-to-ceiling stack stone on 9 foot ceilings. Then had my guys do a herringbone design on the floor which was very intricate. The shower was a walk in shower with again floor to ceiling tile in a custom design.

Of course you can’t do that in a bathroom including the toilet and the vanity and the cost is only $2500. I sat in her kitchen to go over those numbers and she refused to write the check for the balance of the bathroom and said she was not going to pay anymore unless we finish the rest of the basement. The basement was 95% done again the only thing remaining was to hang the doors and put in the baseboards. Her boyfriend painted the basement and she had Home Depot put the carpet in already. She contacted a general handyman to hang the doors and put in baseboards install the toilet and hang the vanity. That was all that was remaining. We told her that if she paid the balance of the bathroom for the intricate work that was done we would continue.

She refused to pay it so we refuse to continue working on a job that somebody was not going to pay for the additional work that they requested. I have copies of the contracts including the payment schedule and proof that the bathroom was never a part of the beginning of the contract. No I do not have 40 judgments against me just another exaggeration on her part to make sure that she limits the business that I do. But amazingly I do 40 basement year and after 20 years and almost 800 basements, this is my only negative report.
