Upon my first visit to this store I purchased a crystal bracelet, i was told these crystals were venetian. I paid $100.00 for this bracelet. Later that year I also purchased a crystal ball necklace that I saw in the store when I made my first purchase I was told it was from Italy. I thought I had negotiated a good price on the necklace of $200.00.

After about 9 months I noticed some of the crystals on the necklace had turned a dark brownish color. I called the store and talked to the manager who said to try to put it in silver cleaner. REALLY, crystal stones in a silver cleaner. I refused stating that it would probably ruin the stones. So she said she would look at it if I sent it back.

So as the piece was on its way back I was again researching this type of necklace on the internet and came across a website which sold the same pieces for about $6.00. Also at this time I was shopping in a local mall and found an IDENTICAL bracelet to the one I previously purchased, for $14.00.

Soon after the manager at David Leonard Fine Arts called saying the color in my necklace was a reflection off of the other stones. Really the brown color was being reflected off of blue saphire colored stones ? I then told the manager I believe I have been ripped off and I mentioned the other website I found. She proceeded to deny the quality difference. But also went on the offer me another necklace in addition to the one I purchased.

she returned my necklace with one stone missing. It was intact fully when I had spoke with her. She also included the second necklace. So I now have 2 necklaces that were selling for $200.00 a piece. But are really worth only about a total of $12.00. What a bargain.
