David Wayne Grimm Contractor who sells services they cannot perform in Howell Michigan

Contracted with David to install sheetrock in basement -- roughly 700 square feet of finished space was quoted as $3000 originally, then going up by 50% as time went on. Made it seem like he had done this before, and he had a crew of guys who would get this done quickly. He began by immediately hiring people who are underqualified and didn't get along. For four weeks, I had to listen to two guys (both on disability, who David was paying under the table) bicker about who knew what they were doing, when obviously neither did. He had his kids to the job site multiple times for social visits. I was constantly told that they would show up at 8 or 9 AM -- therefore, getting ready for my day at 7 AM -- and then not showing up until 11 AM or after noon. This led to very little getting done, and what was done was done poorly. Finally fed up with constantly being told that it would be "a day or two more," when the job continually ran over and went over budget, and constantly being asked for money, I eventually had to tell him and his "crew" to get his tools out of my basement and leave.
