I HAD PUT AN OLEG CASSINI GOWN ON LAYAWAY IN OCTOBER, I WAS DOING OK FINANCIALLY TO BE ABLE TO AFFORD THAT GOWN AT THAT TIME THINKING IT WOULD BE OK FOR ME TO PURCHASE A GOWN THAT WAS $1100 ...I KNOW MOST PEOPLE SPEND THOUSANDS, BUT IM NOT MOST PEOPLE. I HAD PUT $300 DEPOSIT DOWN AND THEY WERE SO SWEET TO ME OBVIOUSLY BECAUSE THEY MAKE COMMISSION, AND UNFORTUNATELY MY FINANCIAL SITUATION CHANGED. IM NOT MAKING THAT MUCH AT MY JOB, I KEPT DELAYING MY APPOINTMENT TO PICK UP MY GOWN BECAUSE I WAS TOO EMBARESSED TO ADMIT I CANT AFFORD IT. I HAD CALLED THEM TODAY AND FINALLY TOLD THEM I CANT AFFORD THE DRESS, I KNEW THE DUE DATE WAS COMING TO PICK IT UP AND I JUST CANT...I SPOKE WITH A CASHIER AND THEN SPOKE WITH A MANAGER NAMED KAREN. I EXPLAINED I CANT EVEN AFFORD THE RECEPTION HALL EVERYTHING IS FALLING APART AND I DIDNT EVEN GIVE THEM THE MONEY, SHE WAS SAYING THE SAME B.S. LINE THAT " I AM SYMPATHETIC TO YOUR SITUATION " AND I WILL LOSE MY DEPOSIT IF I DONT BUY THAT GOWN, I TOLD HER I CANT..I DONT HAVE THE MONEY, SHE SAID I COULD PAY IT BEFORE THE RECEPTION DATE, I TOLD HER I CANT!!!! OVER AND OVER..SHE THEN WAS GETTING VERY RUDE AND SAID IF I DONT GET THE GOWN, I LOSE THE DEPOSIT....I WAS VERY UPSET, I DIDNT WANT TO LOSE $300.... I SAID THAT NOT FAIR, KAREN THEN SAID I WOULD HAVE TO BUY A DRESS THAT AT LEAST $750 OR MY DEPOSIT IS GONE AND THAT SHE IS DOING ME A FAVOR !!!!SO I HAVE TO BUY A DRESS IN THAT PRICE RANGE. I TOLD HER I WILL CALL BACK BECAUSE I WAS AT WORK AND I STARTED CRYING....MY COWORKR TOLD ME I SHOULD CALL THE CORPORATE OFFICE, WHICH I DID, AND SPOKE WITH HEIDI MILLER -- SHE WAS SO VERY NICE TO ME THANK YOU :) --WHO INFORMED ME AS LONG AS I PAY FOR A DRESS IN FULL BEFORE DUE DATE ( WHICH IS NEXT WEEK ) THAT THE DEPOSIT WILL MOST DEFINATELY BE APPLIED TO ANOTHER DRESS AS LONG AS IT OVER $300 AND APOLOGIZED TO ME.....SOOOOOO OBVIOUSLY THE CON ARTISTS AT DAVIDS BRIDAL JUST WANTED TO GET THEIR COMMISSION THEY LIED AND TRY TO SCREW ME OVER .... THAT IS BAD BUSINESS AND I WILL MAKE SURE NO ONE I KNOW EVER GO THERE!!!!

I WORK FOR THE COMPANY AND I JUST WANT EVERYONE TO KNOW OUR LAYWAY POLICY IS STATED ON YOUR RECIEPT AND WE HAVE YOU SIGN BOTH A COPY FOR US AND A COPY FOR YOURSELF THAT YOU FULLY UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU ARE DOING WHEN PLACING A ITEM IN LAYAWAY. THE ONLY ISSUE I FIND WITH YOUR COMPLAINT IS THAT YOU DID NOT CALL THEM RIGHT AWAY BECAUSE I BELIEVE I AM UNSURE OF THAT CERTAIN STORE BUT I KNOW MY MANAGER WILL WORK OUT A PAYMENT PLAN SO THAT YOU CAN STILL GET THE DRESS THAT YOU ARE WANTING. SHE WOULD ALSO EXTEND THE DATE IT NEEDS TO BE OUT TO FIT YOUR NEEDS. YES WE DO WORK OFF COMISSION BUT DONT THINK OUR JOB IS ALL ABOUT THE MONEY BECAUSE WE ARE THERE TO SERVE YOU BUT YOU HAVE TO TAKE SOME RESPONSIBLITY TOO.
