We were contacted by Mclain Peter, who has a London phone and address, stating that he was interested in our slate of films that we'd posted on Angel Market Network.  We could not find him on that site's data base of investors. Mr. Peter asked for our Business Plan; and within 2 days we were "approved" for investment.  He is African, I believe, from the sound of his voice. Yes, I called him... at which time he guaranteed there would be no upfront fees required.  Then a few days later he writes to say that his lawyer thinks he shouldn't be doing this investment, but his wife thought they should go through with it, as he'd already said Yes to us.  Next thing is that Mr. Peter is having to contact a "liaison attorney" to do the paperwork for the transaction... a lawyer we would have to "hire" for this purpose.  We have London attys, which we offered, but no, it had to be his guy.  We then received an email from Davie Lorna, Esq., an alleged attorney in Lancashire, England, who claimed to be with Legal Action Bureau -- which we discovered had a spam page dedicated to outing Mr. Lorna as NOT being part of their organization, and to report any activity where this person was continuing to masquerade as such.  We have not given them any money, nor shall we.  We did, however, copy and paste the scam page warning into an email to both of these individuals, asking them to explain this obvious problem with their identity and intentions.  We have not heard back from either of them.
