So DDS....

First off, when I first got hired, the girl who trained me refused to really get into money details about how their pay system works. She really blew everything off, like none of it was a big deal. When I asked about gas reimbusement since I would be driving my car to all these "events," she told me that at the end of each month they would reimburse you.

Yeah..that was a total lie.

I was also told that in the "training" phase of the company, which was the first 2-4 weeks I would be getting paid between $350 and $450 each week. After that, I would be paid around $450-$650 each week and so on.

So my first week, I made $195 dollars...working 10 hours each day for 6 days!!

The second week (after I received my first "promotion") which I was told I would be making between $450 and $650 a week, I made $330...Less than what you're supposed to make during training!!!! WTF?

THey also told me you were not strictly on commission, but were profit sharing.

I was making 35% of what I sold. Most days you never sell more than around 300$. I was working from 7:30 in the morning until about 7:00 or later at night. That's 12 hours a day and only making 35% of what I sold??? Children in sweat shops in third world countries are making more.

So, if I only sold $20 bucks the whole day (which happened to some people depending on what crappy location they put you in) You make 35% of 20.00. That's not a lot of money to be working for 12 hours a day.
AND...if they pair you up with someone else for the day, you have to split that 35% with the other person!!!!
Yes. I know. Sounds ridiculous. Not only that...but sometimes you might have to stand outside in the snow all day.

And they also run around screaming JUICE and GOMO. (Join us in creating excitement and Get over it and move on)
Their motto was basically any time you have a bad day (ie, not make any money) It's your fault and only your fault. Don't blame it on the weather, or your crappy location. I'm sorry, but I stayed super positive and outgoing every day, and sometimes it just wasn't me...it was the Sams Club in the middle of nowhere in a low income neighborhood.

The people that work there are pretty nice, but they have to lie in order to hire anyone. They say they go through 300 applicants/interviews a month because some people just can't do this job, which is true, but they can't do it because they realize it's a scam, not because they themselves aren't cut out for it.
I never hated a job so much in my life. I could go on, but I won't.

Basically, don't ever interview or take the job here at DDM. You'll be disappointed. The turnover rate is soooo high there because once people figure out the scam, they quit.

So if you're willing to drive all over creation, take part in mindless motivation meetings, harass people at grocery stores, Best Buys, Gander Mountain's, truck stops etc...then go nuts. But remember, you can make more money flipping burgers at McDonalds part-time.
