OP, the Global report contained innaccurate information and misquotes. It was pulled for that reason and because the family did not wish it to be so public. Dawn was too busy doing damage control to answer every question before the article was pulled. Perhaps you should have contacted Global or the fundraising page to ask questions before filing a slanderous report on some Arkansas page?? Curious who you are 'Jo' and why you get off trying to ruin peoples lives. 

As a donator to the fund I would like to see it continue and grow despite this keyboard warrior.

This fundraiser to benefit children who lost their mother just before Christmas is completely and utterly 100% legit. The Global article the reporter is referring to was pulled because it a) contained False information and b) the family requested privacy. There was no time to respond to all of the questions posed on the link before removal. 

To make false accusations on a slanderous page and potentially marring someone's reputation for trying to do great things out of the goodness of her heart is reprehensible and as a donator to this fund, I would like to see it continue and grow despite this ugly mess. I too would like to know who this reporter is and why the hell you'd post this on some random page based in Arkansas or somewhere US.

To the page itself: do you not do ANY research before posting s***?

My name is Amanda Carkener I know Dawn and many of the others who have commented here as well. We are most certainly real people. This was a genuine fundraiser for children whose mother has died. You have ruined a beautiful thing and are hiding behind the anonymity of the Internet.  Dawn has never hid anything from us. She works night shift and does not live on the Internet.  Unlike you apparently. I hope you are ashamed of yourself. You have hurt a good person and ruined a legitimate fundraiser for these children. Nichole was a member of our community and all we wanted was to do something good during this time of sorrow. Any doubt that I am real? Ask Melissa B. About me. She knows me and I am good friends with her sister. 

These accusations made towards Dawn are absolutely appauling!! This is not a scam! This is a mom who out of the kindness of her heart wanted to help fundraise some money for children who just lost there mom. I myself have donated to this funding page as I along with everyone else want to help give these poor kids who lost their mom 4 days before Christmas a brighter future. 

OP you should be ashamed of yourself for causing hurtful lies towards Dawn. I've known Dawn for 14 years now and NEVER has she been one to lie, steal, or be a fake. 

Dawn is an amazing lady and this report should be filed right where it belongs.. In the trash!! clear this poor ladies names as all she was doing was helping some innocent children!!

I know both dawnlea and coral personally and there is no possible way either of these ladies would make a scam ! They are amazing ladies and in no way hod any info fr anyone. They do have lives, so couldn't always reply right away, but there was always a reply as soon as there was time to.  I can not believe someone would try and deface dawnlea like this. If she isn't going through enough .. Now add this .. I  disgusted in the original poster !

I am sad to see that someone would do this to you Dawn.  You have done nothing but help this family in their greatest time of need.  I have no doubt in my mind that this was created for Nicholes kids and will help them in the end.  To the person who wrote this about Dawn, I hope Karma gets you for doing such a terrible thing :(  Dawn and Coral are amazing women for doing this for the kids

She did this for the kids! She didn't reply because when she's at work she's at work! Shes not on her phone 24/7 she also has a family of her own! She is a very kind person and had the best intentions for the money it was for Nicole's kids not for her! In the over a year iv known her I have never felt she was a bad person or a scam artist who ever origanaly said dawn is a rip off and a scam is a low life who is obviously jelouse of dawn for whatever reason maybe because helping the kids with a fund was dawns idea and not theirs! Dawn I'm so sorry your dealing with this you have my support hun xoxoxo!

The fundraising was genuine and I hope the author of this report is sued for libel. 

This is not a hoax! I cannot believe someone would report her! She was doing this out of the goodness of her heart. Whoever reported her is an idiot and needs to get there facts straight!

As a member of the group where the fundraising began I am completely appalled that this would be reported. Dawn did nothing but try to help the children who tragically lost their mom right before Christmas. This family and all of Nichole's friends have been through enough pain and lose. This was an up and up attempt to fundraise for the children. She was very honest and open about the intentions. 

Maybe you should check out the mom groups and see how many people are supporting this fundraiser...i love all of these women who support this cause.  I have spoken to the childrens father, and the children will be receiving around $2500 between the 3 of them.  I am so happy that we are able to help even a little bit.  You ladies bring tears to my eyes

To the hater... Maybe you should message me privately and deal with this like adults.  you obviously have something clearly wrong with you in your messed up head... I dare you to fess up who you are.. Or maybe youre just too scared to face up to the fact that you have slandered my name....

Dawnlea is no doubt submitting these rebuttals about herself. If the fundraiser was legitimate then she should have answered people's questions from the get go.

This is not a scam. Dawn has worked really hard to set up this fundraiser for the kids. Whoever reported this obviously has a personal vendetta against Dawn. This is just despicable!

I am appalled that someone would report this as a scam.  Dawn was looking out for her friends children's best interest.  ALL MONEY raised was going to these children.  To take something so positive and turn it into an ugly viicious lie is tragic.  These poor children lost there mother and people were donating to help the father and these children.  

Now not only will the children lose out on future donation.  Dawn's life and livelihood will be affected.

Kudo's to Dawn and Cora for trying to do something so kind and positive.

I belong to a local mothers group we chat from dinners to prepare to medical issues to relationships.  Most of us have been around for years in some form in a group.  Some have forged amazing relationships through the group.   We have all leaned on each other in some way and it has helped so many through personal hardships.

Nichole was a long member as well and has tragically passed away so young.  Everyone in true mom chat fashion wanted to help in any way possible.  So Dawn took charge and helped to put something in place to help Nicholes children.  It was quickly established and no one would in their right mind would question her intentions.  Dawn does work as well and has a family to take care of.  She is human! I am saddend this act of kindness has turned ugly.

To the original reporter...you are sad, spiteful, disgusting, and wrong and do not belong with the amazing moms in the group

I am so appauled that this was even considered a scam to someone. who ever made this report clearly does not have the FACTS.  This Is all heresay so I don't understand how yoyr website can accuse someone of somrthing whrn yoy don't know anything about the person or the situation at hand. dawn is a wonderful kind hearted mother who would never ever hurt someone like this. This was meant to help her children not be a burden on the family. All of this was intended to help them in this tragic event. I really hope you get all the facts...someone like dawn with a bit heart would never try to scam anyone.

Myself and Coral Warner were the creators of the fundraising page for nicholes kids.  We opened up a savings account at CIBC and had given anyone who asked, the information on the account so that they would be able to deposit the money whether through etransfer or directly at the bank.  This was never hidden from anyone.

Talons dad was aware of the fundraising page since i had messaged him personally to tell him.

Second, the fundraising page was open and i thought it would be good to get some help so i contacted global bc to see if we could get more support for the kids.  In hindsight, i should have asked the family.  I was asked by a family member to keep things private, so i had contacted global and asked them to remove the article out of respect for the family.  Prior to its removal, i was able to read the article, and there was false information on it.  

I then appologized to the family and everything seemed ok...

Coral and i were planning a few fundraisers including bottle drives, and pub nights and all money was going to be put into a trust fund or savings account for the kids.  Now that this absolutely false report has been posted, we are closing down the fundraising page and all money will be delivered to the kids next week.  

I demand that the person who wrote this article, first of all, show their face and admit who they are and speak face to face, instead of being a coward and remaining anonymous. Second, i demand that they show proof that we are not sincere and prove that this is not going to the kids.  Anyone who has spoken to myself or coral directly, has gotten all the bank information as needed and i am beyond happy to give that information to the person who wrote this completely false, slanderous article about me and questioned the integrity of what we are trying to do for this family!

Dawn is not a fraud and has set up an acct to collect donations for the young mom who passed kids. Whoever created this report should be charged with slander for dragging dawns name threw the mud, she is a kind hearted lady who only wanted to help her recently deceased friends kids. Please remove this slander of a report and let's all focus on helping these poor kids who have lots so much!

I can not believe someone accused Dawn for fraud for fundraising for the kids of a mom that died from a peanut allergy.The site is legitamite for raising money for the family.Not sure why someone would wrongly accuse someone of stealing their donated money to the kids.Dawn and another mom set up an account at the bank to raise money for the family.She would never do anything like that.The person who has reported this has no idea or right to report fraud without knowing all the facts.Please investigate the facts not report fraud on someone just because someone said so.This is unexcusable to ruin someone's reputation because you weren't sure of the facts.They started questioning the intentions when global put up a fundraising link bit took it down after Dawn asked them to because she jumped the gun and did not ask the family first.once she did they wanted it to be more private and did not want a story on TV. Please look at your source and get evidence because whoever did this is ruining her life just because she had donation remorse?? Dawn is a great person that goes out of her way to help people.She is a nurse and doesn't need her name dragged in the mud just because she was helping her friend's family kids.Their  questions  may have been unanswered because she was sleeping because she works nights,12 hour shifts!!

It is truly unfortunate that someone would go on here to deface a hard working mum who is only trying to set something up for a friends children, this friend whom was a fellow mother passed away.

I am one of the people who started this fundraising for those young children who lost their mum. 

We fully intend to give EVERY SINGLE LAST PENNY RAISED to those children AND WILL!

There was miscommunication which is very sad. 

To come and slander a kind loving and caring person is truly hateful and I can only hope that whom ever did post this never has to go through the pain and drama this has caused.

What I also do not understand is since I am on every page and post that this is both Dawn and I, why only post about her?

This is in response to the ripoff report on Dawnlea Spears

This fundraiser was set up with good intentions for Nicholes children, to help with costs that a parent is responsible for and now she gone so a few select people were put in charge of setting the funding page up. Dawn has been reporting every few hours as to how much has been raised and everything. 

For someone to make this report is beyond me and I hope that you guys come to your senses and remove this garbage. As for who set this up, it sickens me to death to know that they have nothing better to do than slander someones name on the Internet!

Poor Dawn and a group of mom's got together to raise money for the kids for a lady who passed away.  As mentioned Dawn is a nurse. Guess what that means? Shift work.  This fundraiser is 100% legit and to state such things about Dawn is downright slanderous.

Dawnlea did no wrong. The fundraiser is for the family of her late friend. She works night shifts and sleep during the day hence no response while she was sleeping. This is not true again. This was done in spite to Dawnlea.

Dawn has done nothing wrong in any way shape or form. She has done everything in her power to help those children. She is one of the most upfront and honest people I know. She would give the shirt off her back to help anyone. What was posted was very wrong and not true. Global news didn't publish everything she stated and changed some facts. 

Wow! First off I know this "report" is false because I am personal friends with both dawn and Nichole's "adopted" family. They were and are aware of the fundraiser, it was spoken about to me personally by the family and even shared on Facebook.

Dawn has never kept the name of the bank secret. It's CIBC. Feel free to ask them about the fundraiser "for Nichole's kids" I'm sure. It was deleted off globals page because they were reporting FALSE info that dawn did not give them and nicholes family did not want that to happen.

Dawn is a respectable, contributing member of society who wouldn't scam a soul. She was close to Nichole and was present at her memorial and is a member of the same church as Nichole was. She is grieving the loss of her friend as we'll and is just trying to help. 

The only person who I am aware did not know about the fundraising was Nichole's sister and there is most likely a reason why. I can speculate but won't. I hope whoever you are that posted this FAKE report feels like pure crap! How rude can you get? Are you own hands clean op? Because if not you shouldn't be pointing them at others. Especially without the facts.

This is so wrong... Dawn helped set this up to help the family.. Nothing she has done has been dishonest whatsoever... 

Dawn and Coral started this campaign to help out Nicholes children. Nichole had been a member of a local chat group. A lot of these facebook members have developed lasting friendships. Dawn and Coral intentions were pure. They are known in the community and in the chat group. I have been a member for 6 months now and have never felt Dawn nor Coral had ulterior motives. They are well liked as far as Im concerned and the fundraisers intention was innocent. The sudden passing of a fellow member was devastating. Especially so close to Christmas. There may have been a miscommunication crisis amongst the people donating in regards to the bank account. Dawn and Coral made it publicly known what they were planning. They both made posts every step of the way. We were well informed about the donations, bank account and it was to be for the children. This is not a scam! This is not fraud. I assure you that. I also think its vital to do an investigation to clear their names. Dawn is a respectable nurse who always gives advice and is willing to help others. We are a wonderful facebook group, a close one. I find it appauling that she is being verbally attacked and accused of wrong doing. Her heart was in the right place. I hope this will be resolved soon as Im sure it has caused stress on dawn, Nicholes family and the facebook following. 

The reports towards Dawn are ridiculous. She started a fundraiser for children. It was done properly through a bank and had two signatures on the account. The family was notified and bank account information will be changed over to the family once the fundraiser was complete. Dawn has responded to all comments online about this fundraiser; however, she works full time as an emergency room nurse and isn't glued to the internet 24/7 - so some responses were delayed. She is a hard-working, genuine, and dedicated friend.

I personally know Dawnlea Spears and all the fundraising efforts that she has done for her friend Nichole's children are legit. The money is in a joint account that needs 2 signatures to be withdrawn and was posted numerous times that it is at CIBC and the transit, account and institution number were posted numerous times!!! I am absolutely disgusted that someone would try to drag such a kind hearted woman through the mud for trying to raise some money for her friends children at this devastating time. Shame on whoever wrote this and I hope that this is removed immediately before it becomes a huge slander issue!!!!
