Day Lift Elevator, led by Mr. Robert Harris, is the biggest scam this side of Long Island. I am an ex-employee of the company. I have worked for Mr. Robert Harris for some time. First of all the lunch and learns that the company invites various architects and contractors to, is really a big setup, just to try to make a sale. The credits that the companies give is a joke. They mean nothing and do not benefit any of the attendees in any way.
The elevators that the company sells is seriously over priced. What the poor victims who attend Mr. Robert Harris's lunch and learns don't know is that they can easily find the same quality elevators for over 45% off Roberts price. Thats how much the company jacks up the price.
Even worse is Mr. Robert Harris's ethics. During my tenure at the company, I personally witnessed Mr. Harris constantly flirting with this really pretty hispanic girl whom he hired. This girl (dont want to name names now) was very much flattered by Mr. Harris authority over her that both of them have had run-ins at nearby hotels around Hempstead. I believe this to bad business.
And this is the reason I was fired, not because he wasn't happy with my appointment setting but because he knew I knew about him and his employee. He kept so hidden not even Peggy knew what was really going on.
Mr. Robert Harris walks around thinking he is the king of all kings but he is really an arrogant man who uses his authority to satisfy his pleasures.

We suspect that the report filed against Day Elevator and Robert Harris by author using the user name SantosD is from a disgruntled employee fired for poor performance.
Day Elevator has been in business for over 15 years and has a reputation of being reliable source of handicap lifts and elevators.
The lunch and learns mentioned in the report are learning seminars offered to architects and contracts, this gives attendees credits towards the AIA program and educates them on the product offerings of Day Elevator.
These learning seminars are voluntary and free and the attendees have no obligations to buy anything from Day Elevator. There are no products offered by Day during these sessions. Day also offers free lunch during these sessions so that it can be scheduled for the attendees at a convenient time so as not to disrupt their work schedule.
If they did not mean anything to the attendees then why would we get request to conduct more of these. We are sure it is not for the free lunch.
The elevators sold by Day are priced competitively and the retail price depends on the finishes and the complexity of the elevator purchased. There is no basis to call them over priced. We are certain that all the architects and contractors shop for the best price and quality of elevator available to them and we often encourage that to all out customers.
The slander on Robert Harris personally is ridiculous and naming a co employee is deliberate and desperate attempt to damage the company's reputation.
We demand proof or an apology from SantosD and would like to assure all readers that we have initiated a thorough investigation of this matter, and informed the appropriate authorities.
The blog posted by SantosD was brought to our attention in November 2008 and that is when we have submitted this rebuttal report.
If anyone has any question or concerns please call us at 516-486-5438 and ask for our Human Resources department.
