My family and I fell upon some hard times after losing my job...we purchased a new home while trying to sell our first one. The market collapsed on us and we were left holding two homes in a terrible market.
D.C. Fawcett's salesmen said they could easily sell both our houses on a short sale. They had 2000 investors willing to buy up homes in Florida.
We thought we better give it a try..the BBB showed them having a clean record and we really had nothing to lose.
They were to negotiate a short sale with the mortgage lender and find a buyer.
Long story short, they never came up with a buyer...the two qualified buyers I brought to the table who were eager to buy were run off by their incompetant salesperson.
They infuriated the lender by offering them ZERO dollars for the short sale...ZERO dollars!!!
Since this mess...I got a hold of the salesguy that originally hooked us...he left the company because "Truth be told...we haven't gotten a short sale passed in 8 months" he said. He said he had to leave the company, because he couldn't make a living working there.
I certainly made some mistakes by getting overextended...but this guy is a predator and should be avoided at all costs!!!
We have recovered financially...and while one of the homes went to foreclosure, we don't really care at this point. We moved out of Florida and have been able to rebuild our lives.
