After purchasing a junkbox from saturn of North Brunswick, whom is owned by DCH. I called them and told them of the problems with the car they sold me. They informed me that that car was sold as is but would be able to give me a deal if I wanted to purchase another car.

In January of 2004 I decided to go look at what they had available. I noticed a 2003 Acura Type S. It was a beautiful car,so I decided to buy it for my son. The car had about 7K miles on it and looked brand new. I offered them 22K out the door and they excepted. The next day I took my son to pick up his new car.

Down the road some minor things needed to be attended to. When the car was in the shop they had it up on the lift and noticed the underbody was torn up. I ask how could that be and I was informed that whomever owned the car before me, changed some things, put in after market equipment, such as exhaust, body kit, suspension etc. He said they tore out the old to replace with high performance equipment, but did not take care in doing so.

I was a bit upset when hearing this so I decided to go to DCH and findout what their ploicy was about disclosure. I spoke to the General sales manager, Glenn Scheider. He told me if it is safe we sell it. We do not have that type of disclosure policy, we give you car faxs if it is clean, they are too.

I am here warning anymore buying a used vehicle be it if it is 10 years old or 6 months old like mine, find out if anything was done to the car other then normal maintenace. They are just looking for a sale and if it does not have to be mentions rest assured it wont be.
Sad thing is they lost a good customer. I just bought my daughter her first car and did not use them but went to Dayton Toyota. Customer loyalty is so important in sales, I just do not understand why they just do not disclose.

Regards.

Problem solved

AUTHOR: Elida - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, October 28, 2004

I would like to let the consumers out there know that DCH Toyota of North Brunswick after I reported the problems I found with my sons Acura to the sales manager He has done everything in his power to right the wrong done by both DCH Saturn as well as his own Toyota dealership. He took the Acura back as a trade in and gave me a very fair deal. He is the type of manager that every dealership should have. It makes even when you have a problem easier to deal with.

I enjoyed working with Glenn and feel he is a man with integrity. I traded in the Acura and bought not one car from him but 2 more. 1 used Celica that they made sure was in great running condition as well as a brand now Sequoia.

After dealing with the right people within the dealership I would gladly send any friend to them to purchase their next vehicle.

He assured me that each vehicle that they put on the lot as a resale must meet certain standards. Again thank you DCH for making what could have been a great financial problem a happy ending.

You bought the first one and didn't like it. You bought the second one and didn't like it. "I offered them $22k out the door". They accepted. Where will it all end?
