Much like the other lady reporting her concern, I too experienced exactly what she stated. I decided that I wanted to do the right thing and pay my owed bill. I called DCI and informed them that I'd like to schedule a payment plan. The young lady I spoke with was well mannered, patient, kind, she listened and much to my appreciation I was ready to except the plan she offered me. she went ahead and talk to me as if she had sent a willing to accept letter to my e-mail. She even said hold on for a minute ms. charlton I just want to make sure you got that e-mail I just sent you. (as if she already really sent it) after she finished playing around she said ok now i've done that so if your ready you can give me your route and account number because we need to hold this agreement with your payment. now originally I would have given her the information trusting that I received an e-mail with the information in it. When we got to the colleteral part my Credit or financial account information, I told her that because of the fraudulent things happening, i was not comfortable in giving my information over the phone, she explained I was on a reccorded line (my point exactly, I don't know who has access to those reccordings) and that nothing bad would happen. I told her I would be able to get one of those prepaid visa cards, she stated that was fine but she didn't know how long past tonight they would be able to hold that deal. Excuse my profanity but BULL S**T, but because she was so nice to me I played along with her, but restated my issue. she asked me If i would be willing to go online myself and pay, I was very excited to hear that as an option so I said ofcourse, that way I didn't have to give someone whom I don't even know my personal information. So immediately she placed me on hold to see if that was possible. right away a male voice came to the phone and introduced himself as Michael and Explained as Ashley did they can send me an e-mail showing me who they were. I explained to Michael that I understood all of that part Ashley thouroughly explained all of that to me. but I again told him my concern. Well Well Well like a sales person or telemarketer he go his rebutal on and immediately he ignored my concerned and went on to say very true but none the less needless things to me. " well this is your credit, it's not mine, we've given you several payments plans and you denied all of them, this is an attempt to collect a debt/ this will go on your report for years and it will gain an access fee and this fee and that fee and blah blah blah. Finally I said to him that there was clearly a willingness to pay and that he needed not say anything that came out of his mouth because again I contacted you all, you did not call me. that was my choice. he immediately got extra angry and continued talking over me, he clearly was not able to hear anything I was saying because he was busy talking. Finally I said you made me that much more uncomfortable , he said it's not my job to make you feel comfortable. you exactly right Michael Boo!! but it is you job to gain trust so that you get my money...and after this mess you've pulled, you will not get a dime.( somebody like him/ or the company he represents I will not feel comfortable giving any of my information to...at all) I told him he was unprofessional, ignorant and seemed to be self centered, I told him I'd much rather speak with Ashley. HE has alot to learn from her and could close more deals if he had the skill. he continued to talk over me and his words was exactly " then you do that have a good day, GOOD LUCK and good my and slammed the phone down. See what he thought was going to happen, was that because of his authority within the company and perhaps Ashley inexperience in that type of field, he thought he would have said some things to me as a threat, and that i would eat them up. Oh no he got it all twisted. Wrong sales woman Michael. because of his actions he ruined an attempt to collect a debt because now I will not contact them. My credit is already bad this t-mobile bill will be just another trophy in my report.. It's does not matter to me. I just wanted to do the right thing. Lesson to be learned Michael is to be considerate and stern in you company policies, that way you won't put your personal self in the way and you'll be able to complete your job instead of making matters worst. May God be with you in all of you ignorances. Ps. I never got the e-mail they both spoke about......WOW liars. So thank you michael because I was almost dumb enough to give you my account info but then you showed your attitude and slipped up. See you allowed the devil to use you now he's laughing at you...lol

#1 UPDATE EX-employee responds
How to Do it.

Well Ms. Charlton, those recordings only last on file, inside the company. they don't have a corprate office other then the one your calling all the time, so there's no one that it really goes higher then. they just use the recordings to terminate employee's they don't want anymore. Now here's the part they didn't tell you that day, the web address to pay online. I know this sounds kinda crazy coming from me, but the old bill collector would still like to see you do the right thing. It's www.dcicollect.com, now if they did offer you a settlement, then it kinda is up to them if they wanna give it to you. what i would do is maybe call back and see if they'll still give it to you, and they do, while you have em on the phone, just put you payment into their online system. it won't run right away, i think some one still have to run the site in a batch, but they don't see your info, so it's still safe. Other then that, you could still go the route of trying to catch them off guard and get them in a lawsuite. There is currently a case in your state dealing with how they've treated people on the phone. Go to www.Justia.com and look up Gomez V. DCI, if your interested. well i've put as much time as i can for in for now. good luck to you. :)
