DCS ,Diversified Collection Services, Rude and Illegal tactics Grants Pass Oregon

This company is a piece of work. They are a collection agency. They will not stop harassing me and it's not me they are looking for. The last call I received I told the person that I know they are a collection agency and demanded they give me their name and the company they are calling from. Her reply was, she was a friend and why would I assume she was a collection agent. Tell me what agency you are calling from. She refused, which is illegal. I told her not to call again and did a call trace and sure enough, it's DCS again.

I've gotten over 20 calls from this company. I successfully did call tracing 7 times. After the first 3 traces Qwest, my phone company launched an investigation and said they have removed me from their list and will not call. 60 days go by and they start again. 3 more traces and Qwest has me on a 3 way conversation with the company. Qwest at my request told them I've had my phone and address for 5 years.

In our conversation I told them what I believe happened which is that the person they are trying to collect a debt from did receive mail and may have been a renter at my address 6 years ago and before I ever bought my home. I've lived at my address 5 years. I do not know her and have never known her. Our names are not similar in any way. I also said that I thought someone did a reverse lookup on my address and got my number and to stop calling. Again they assured me they'd stop.

60 days later another call and another trace. I called Qwest and asked what else I can do. I found out the reason for the 60 days. Qwest only keeps the trace records for 60 days and then you have to start over again.

Yes, I've already sent a letter to cease and desist but the calls continue. Already have a complaint into Attorney General and FTC.

After I finally get one office to stop calling, they turn the account over to another office and the calls start again.

What a headache, and it's not even me they are looking for.
