I took my mail out of the mail box after working a long 10 hr. night shift at the casino where I am a dealer. To my great surprise I had won $125,000.00 !!! As I was racing into town to tell my son and husband that we might have won some money I kept thinking man if this is true I can pay my daughters college tuition, pay some bills ( notice I didn't say pay off all our bills ) because this wouldn't be enough , I new it was to good to be true. Darn these people to hell. I'm one tired 52 year old mom and grandma. For about 30 min. I was so excited but new as soon as my son looked it up on the internet I new it wasn't true. I started crying on the way home cause I was so mad. These people should be prosecuted.
Just so you know my letter started out with-we are pleased to inform you that you are one of the declared winners of DE-LOTTO NORTH AMERICAN SWEEPSTAKES LOTTERY HELD ON JUNE 13TH, 2008. IN THE 2ND CATEGORY. MY CLAIM NO: KT/PA-785CA is the same as another person I read about who got a letter in April! Come on people, if your going to try and cheap people at least change the nos. a little bit, Duh!
I don't understand why with this many complaints someone in Canada's government can't put a stop to this! Isn't that what the Royal Canadian Mounted Police are for?

Why can't the Canadian authorities do anything about it ?? DUH !! Probably because these scammers only scam stupid people in the US, and have broken no Canadian laws.

Please excuse my ignorance, but I am not quite sure why this is even considered a rip off. You didn't purchase anything and not receive it, so why exactly is everyone getting up in arms regarding a piece of paper you receive in the mail? There is no rip off involved-simply recycle the letter and you are done with it. Nothing lost, nothing gained. If you are that upset at the fact you "thought" you won the lottery, perhaps before you even open it, check the postmark. Most of the time, the postmark says "addressed admail". That means they send it to everyone. You have to know that you never receive something for nothing, so a company you have never heard of, tells you that you won a lottery you never entered, and you are upset? I just don't understand.
