Dealer.com cheats employees again. After being purchased by Dealertrak and then Cox Automotive one might think they would clean up their act. Rick Gibbs a founder is still there and is still cheating employee. In 2010 dealer.com was fined by the Dept of labor for classifying employees as exempt and not paying overtime. Employees did not get back at they just got a token payment.

After making millions the greedy management is at it again. The new VP Scott O'neil has reclassified the employees back to exempt after the DOL fined them. Those same employees now do not get overtime again. It is only because of a weak DOL and the fact that even if fined again they will not have to pay what they owe.

Scott O'neil under Rick Gibbs and Wayne Pastmore run a sweatshop organization in Customer Service devision. Turn over is almoat at 60%. While Mark O'neil states everyone is  team member the VP Scott oneill has been heard at meetings referring to employees as resource. I guess that makes it easier to treat them so badly.

The customer service employee gets barely 3 to 4 weeks of training and is expected to know and do everything. Car dealers call in angry all the time as the tools and websites are always broken. The work loads are huge and the pressure to get it done daunting. It's not a wonder no one stays.

Since Scott has been Vice President it has only gotten worse. More work less pa, less training. The dealers are noticing and the are leaving.

Cox Automotive needs to get down there and start talking to people.

wish I knew why the DOL ignores the finger dealer.com is giving them by going back to doing business as before the fine.
