Purchased 1992 Nissan 240 SX on 1/19/02. Dealer wanted $3994. I got title history (selvage title) & got them down to $3000. Paid $2800 cash that day & was promised that anything wrong with car would be fixed.
Car made "jumps" when shifting. Contacted dealer & took car in 1/26/02. Mr. Banicar "forgot" mechanic out. Advised me to bring car back Monday. Called Monday, left message. Call not returned. Made numerous calls next few days to no avail.
A friend who owns Aamco Transmissions in Suffolk did External Diagnostic on the transmission on 2/6/02. Gave me letter stating what problem could be. Took letter to Deals on Wheels same day. Mr. Banicar said it would be taken care of. Made appointment for 2/13/02.
Took car to dealership on 2/13/02 & paid balance. Was given another car off the lot to drive. This car worse than mine. Went back to dealer after work. Car still not looked at. I informed Mr. Banicar & Mr. Flowers that temporary tags about to expire. Assured me this was no problem & would give me new tags. Told them my husband would have to drop car off Monday.
My husband dropped off car 2/18/02 and was given another loaner car which broke down on his way to pick me up from work. (That automobile is still sitting on side of the road as of this morning, 2/21/02). We got a ride back to dealership. The car was given back to us. Only things done were another diagnostic & fluids changed. Expired temporary tags still on car.
Faxed complaint letter to them 2/19/02 stating that I wanted some type of monetary settlement or wanted transmission problem fixed at no cost. I also wanted new temporary tags or original title. Mr. Flowers called back & said all cars sold as is & I would have to talk to Mr. Banicar personally about repairs. Also stated title was ready for me.
Title shows lien release date of 2/16/02. In Section A of title has owner before me as Jim Flowers. This is Mr. Flowers father & dealership's mechanic. Also has his date of purchase as 12/15/02.
Mr. Banicar (cell#757-286-0466) is still not returning my calls.
