Debt Consultants Of America - Glen Runnels Scammed, Lied, Deceived, Inhumane! Dallas Texas

I have just signed up for Debt Consultants of America today, 03/19/2009. My heart sank when I read testimonies regarding this company. The representative that I spoke with told me that they were able to cut my debt at least 50%. He said that in order for the program to work at its best, I must be delinquent on payments. When he read the contract to me through the phone he hurried down the numbers as to make me not notice the actual words on the contract. When I got home and read it more in detail it was totally different from what he advised to what it said in the contract. He also hurried through the cancellation process not mentioning the $299.00 fee that must be paid if I was to cancel. Overall, they deceived me along with other consumers and took advantage of me during the time when I needed help the most. How can a company like this exist here in America and not face any consequences?
