Debt Settlement USA - Brauer Law Offices Took my money and never contacted creditors Phoenix Arizona

In April 2008, I contacted Debt Settlement, USA to negotiate my credit card debt. They transferred me to Brauer Law Offices (part of the same company) and I completed all the necessary paperwork. They told me they would negotiate down my credit card debt for $.40/$1.00. They had a $29 processing fee. I signed up for a 36-month program. At the end of the 36-months, they would pay the credit card companies the agreed amount. Their monthly fee is $473 for 12 months. I have paid the first month's fee. However, they do not answer their phones, nor their e-mails, and do not return my phone calls. I now think this is a scam. I contacted the BBB in Arizona, but this company was not registered with them. I contacted the Corporation Commission in Arizona and was told they WERE Incorporated. I still feel very uneasy as their is NO communication with me on their part, and the person answering the phone is VERY unprofessional, using words like "OK, hon". Not what you would expect to hear from a lawyer's office. I think I've been scammed.
