Debt Shield Ruins Credit Report, Any class action suits Ripoff Columbia Missouri

I joined Debr Shield to pay off credit cards through payments. I paid then greater than 5K for their service. I was told they would settle an account in 12 months. This never happened. I finally had to negotiate my own settlements with no help from them. At that point 1 yr and 3 months later I stopped program as I was not willing to continue to give them a monthly payment for nothing. Also found out later our credit is ruined when listed on credit account as settlement. Debt Shield specifically told me a credit card settlement would not adversely affect my credit rating. Has anyone heard there is a class action suit against Debt Shield? If there isn't there should be one. They are collecting fees and not contacting accounts stating they are representing this customer and this debt, and ruining our credit scores. We could save our credit by continuing to pay the minimum payments, and not end up with huge financial charges accrued over the time of contract with Debt Shield. In fact Debt Shield told me to stop all payments to credit companies. They took advantage of us!
