Dee King Trucking is making there employees go to direct deposit. And very strongly suggeting that they user there bank First United Bank. The employees should have there pay checks not later than sunday that is what they have posted. They assured there employees that if the do dd and use there bank they would have there money by friday!! And that did happen for a short time, then if you did not use there bank and used another bank you would not get your paycheck until tue. So they were forced to go to First United Bank. The employees money will show to be in there account kinda....seee this is the theft, scam just plan wrong...... but if they use there debit card, write a check they get a 21.00 per usage over draft fee!!!!! Now the bank and Dee King Trucking play the blame game on each other...meanwhile the employees are gooooooo further in debt!!!! How can this happen the drivers need there jobs and fear if they cause trouble they will loose there jobs while the Bank and Dee King Trucking are stealing there money!!!!! Help

PROGRESS NOTES
The employees have been educated on the pros of Direct deposit as well as the how to stay out of the Red. Dee King stepped up and educated his drivers so they will no longer have any uncertainty on going to direct deposit. He never said that his employees had to use First United Bank they have always been able to elect the banking institution that they were comfortable with. The NSF has been researched and it is the direct result of hard times. Not any wrong doing on Dee King or First United. I should have researched the issue further however, I just felt responsible since I had convinced many of the drivers that changing banks would make the conversion easier and when so many drivers were having trouble I felt I had to take some blame.

The process is tried and true. Almost 70% of Winthrop employees now enjoy the benefits of direct deposit. What are these benefits, you ask? Well, let' s present the pros and cons.
PROS
You never have to handle a check.
You never have to worry about having the check lost or stolen.
You never have to endorse a check or prepare a deposit slip.
You never have to rush to get to the bank on your lunch hour.
You never have to stand in long lines at the bank to make the deposit.
You never have to worry about making an error on the deposit slip.
You never have to worry about the daily time cutoff for transactions.
You never have to worry about crossing the bank parking lot with cash in hand.
Your money is in your account before you even wake up on pay day.
If you are away from the office - sick leave or on vacation - your money is in your account.
If you are a part-time employee and your department now mails your check to you or gives you the check when you come into work, under direct deposit, you will be paid on time, every time.

Just wanted to update everyone, my son and husband have now been let go from Dee King Trucking and one of our drivers has been suspended with the threat of termination do to this report. These people believe they can do anything they want, and that they are untouchable. This is not just going to destroy our small business but my faimly. Just because I could not set back and watch what was going on. Help!
