I purchased a brand new house in August of 2006. My downstairs AC unit went out in August of 2007. Deerman came out and put in a new Compressor. The next month in September, my upstairs AC stopped working, it was the blower that went out, they came back and gave me a new blower.
Now in August of 2008, my downstairs AC unit has once again gone out and not only did it go out, in the separate section of the AC unit where the Supper Boost is stored, the entire section caught on fire and the Super Boost along with all of the wires burned, everything is charred including the panel that in case the unit. The technician replaced the wires and the Super Boost, but said that I needed to call an electrician, I did and the Electrician stated that the wires were fine and the breaker shut off like it was suppose to and none of his wires were damaged, by the way, (2) of Deerman technicians and the Electrician all stated that they have never seen anything like this before, they don't know how the unit caught on fire and now I am worried that my house may catch on fire.
I called Deerman back and they came out and stated that I needed a new Compressor, mind you this is the third Compressor in the second year and the actual unit itself was manufactured in 2005. I am told by Deerman that the Compressor is still under warranty, but they will have to charge me over $400 for labor charges to put the Compressor on.
I have placed (3) calls trying to speak with the President John Deerman and he obviously has no intentions in calling me back, I have left (3) messages for him to call me back. ALso, I asked the office employee if I could just receive the Compressor since it is still under warrenty and not have them install it and she stated NO, they don't do that. At this point, my downstairs AC unit is not working and this is in the middle of August, thank God this week has been pretty moderate or I would be roasting!!!!!
