DEK Consulting is a RIPOFF! BEWARE!
David Andrews promised to do some programming for my website. He agreed to a list of functionality that would be implemented and demanded $1200.00 full payment in advance. After he received payment, he claimed that some features he promised (I have them in writing) could not be done, even though other websites have this, including one I showed him as an example.
When he tried to implement to functions he was still willing to do, he completely screwed up the website, making it create error messages and lose customers personal information. His incompetence cost me over a days worth of revenue as well as damaged the credibility of my business.
He did the work LIVE on the website and did not perform proper testing.
I would go in and test the site and find it malfunctioning... basically dead in the water. I would contact him and a short while later, he would claim it was fixed (again without testing it) and when I would go back in I would find nothing had been done.
Finally, after a series of lies, and him eventually hiding and not taking or returning calls, I requested a refund as it was apparent he had no idea about what he was doing.
He refused and stated that he couldn't because he had already spent the money and didn't have it to return! (Again, all of this I have documented in writing).
It took several hours to repair the damage he did to the website to get it back to the way it was before he got his bumbling hands on it.
Now, I am out $1200.00 as well as over a days worth of revenue and the time spent fixing his damage!
Stay away from DEK Consulting and David Andrews. He could harm your business too!

UPDATE

AUTHOR: ScammedByDEK - (United States of America)

POSTED: Monday, March 01, 2010
***UPDATE***

Visa apparently agreed that DEK Consulting at dekconsulting.com was fraudulent because they reversed the $1200.00 credit card charge.

Then, I contracted with a COMPETENT programmer who completed the work quickly, efficiently, and smoothly without any problems, including the functions that David Andrews at DEK Consulting claimed were not possible.

Total Cost? = $175

Proof positive that DEK Consulting,  www.dekconsulting.com and David Andrews should be avoided at all costs...
