Complaint:
Purchased new home, had many quality defects and missing items. We felt misled through the entire building process. They rushed us so fast through the final walk through we couldn't catch the hundreds of defects in the house. After three months of living here walls and ceilings are all cracking. Floors are uneven, main floor joist upstairs and downstairs are not level. Walls are crooked and bowed in. Paint and drywall are the worst quality i have ever seen. bathroom tub surrounds cracking. Fireplace was installed wrong now burns dirty and sooty. Melted siding on house, when used first 3 times. Can not install glass doors due to misplacement of gas valve.Paint on exterior of house is wearing off, wood can be seen through paint. back yard floods. Toilet installed improperly and leaks at times unto floor. The sinks back up and do not drain The framing of the house is poor and causing many of the above problems.Water soaked the house and caused the floor boards to curl up. Now floors creak and you can feel the edges of the boards as you are walking through house.Floors through out entire house uneven. We were charged association dues for first three months when we had no phones,trash,pool or gym use, mail service, tv or internet available.We have had multiple estimates for repairs ranging from 15-85,000 just to get started.
they do not plow the streets or drives as they are paid to do.
I have contacted the company and their response is this house was built to industry standards. When they have returned for repair work they would arrive 3-4 hours late if they even showed at all. they attempted drywall and paint repairs, left drywall mud, paint and dust thought my entire house on walls, floors,carpets and furniture, costing me many hours of clean up.
We have a severe leaking roof that has caused mold growth over the entire wall of the garage.
The counter tops have pulled away from the walls and now have 1/8 to 1/4 inch gaps.
the trim is pulling away from the walls do to the west wall of the house is falling to the west.
the upstairs doors no longer open and close or lock due to severe settling and twisting of the house.
their are over 1/4 inch humps between floor joists and 1-1/2 inch hump in den. The upstairs walls are pulling away from the ceiling and have 1/4" gaps.
Large cracks in concrete flooring in garage, basement floors and walls.
the furnace and a/c system are inadequate for the house and we have no heat upstairs in the winter and no a/c in the summer.
Desired Settlement: Replacement
Settlement Explanation: full refund due to breach of contractual agreement
Complete replacement of all flaws, from my home remodel or's estimates. I do not want them in or near my house. They have no quality standards what so ever.
