Dell Computer Sales, dell.com Motherboard was bad BUT they only did a recall on their message boards / blog Nationwide

I purchased a Dell desktop. This particular model was almost $5000. before discounts. Dell did a recall on the motherboard. I only found out about the recall on their forums & message boards about 3 months after the recall. When I phoned the company to send my stuff back they told me so sorry! The recall was over and that the computer "would" operate without this upgrade and "fix", just not as well. They have my phone number, address, and email address. It would have been very easy for them to contact their customers to alert them of this recall but the only place they posted it was on their message boards / forum area.

at least you got a computer, i sold alot of computers in December that they did'nt even have all the parts for...we also sold lap tops for black friday at $299.00. they started the sale the monday before black friday...said they where sold out the Wed. before black friday. ( they where not) but we where to tell the customers that we could offer another computer to them for 399.00 ...which was the same computer!!!! we where told to tell the customers that the computer we had on sell was a limited amount. and we sold out but we could offer this computer instead.
