After working for a family owned business for almost 6 years, in the most hostile office enviroment I have ever worked in, I was fired by Carol Arceneaux Dellenbach because I would not put up with her mental, verbal & physical abuse.
She called me many names throughout the years, heartless, I will assume from now on you don't know anything. I had a cough one day, (choked on my water) she was so annoyed that she came into the office and threw a handfull of cough drops at me. She nailed me in the head.
She tried to get me to quit for months, which I would not do. I needed my job as my daughter lives with me and is very ill, as well as my grand-daughter from birth, because her father died 6 months before she was born and her mother did not want her and is in jail. I too have a degenerative muscle disease that is terribly painful and causes me to be extremely tired all the time. So as you see I could not afford to quit. Also stress causes my disease to be a lot worse. She didn't want to fire me because she did not want to pay unemployment after almost 6 years of doing an excellent job for this company.
Now that I am fired and receiving unemployment, Carol and her brother Mike who is the CEO will not allow my children to have their vehicles serviced in their shop. They purchased their vehicles from them, but now, just because I was fired from there my grown kids can not have their vehicles serviced there. All their records and warranty are on file their and they will not even mail them a copy of what has been done to their cars. They also need their warranty paper work to go else where.
Next stop General Motors to see what can be done. They go to church every Sunday too!!! Give money to all sorts of charities, but treat their help like crap. This family claims to be the ultimate family business. They care for all. They will rip you off any time they can get by with it. Remember you can't tell a book by it's cover. If I were you I would go else where for buying, or servicing my vehicle. BIG RIP OFF!!!!!

Dellenbach is not even in my thoughts anymore, until I get an e-mail from rip off report. Sorry for the corvette owners problems. Wish you would have read this before you used their so called service. I liked a lot of the service people at Dellenbach, but the service is ownly as good as "The Masters That Own It". Karma will get them!

They had my new 2014 corvette 3 months in their body shop. Cracked the rocker panels, ruined window tint, burned the car with a buffer so badly that is must be repainted!!! There is more to the damage but it's too much to list! I found this ripoff report online while searching for others like me. The reason I am responding is because of the way they spoke to me and insinuated that I was stupid. Though they had just jacked up MY $70k car I was told to accept it and move along!! They acted as if they were better than me.
money doesn't make you a better person!!! When I read the rebuttel by the owner to this post I was shocked!! Calling their forner employee chubby, and racially referencing that they SLAVED!!! I found it unacceptable! Saying that because the employee was horizontal with her boss! Anyone who buys a car or has a car serviced here should read this report! Yes sometimes ex employees are disgruntled, but their angry remarks are not what any professional who owns a car dealership should be putting out there! This is exactly how I was treated by them when I would not accept their subpar work. their own words show their character!

Like you have any room to post on this if its the chubby spoiled from birth brunette born with a silver spoon in her mouth. hotizontal robot with the boss didn't pay off for you like you thought it would did it? Now you're a big star it sounds like - wooopie. I suppose your genuine niceness to me in the short time you knew me and respect you gave me unconditionally speaks more for your true character than to theirs, people I cared for and slaved for day in and out.

WOW. Some of the things you come across on the internet so inadvertently just plain scary!
As I was merely conducting a simple search on Google entitled, Oil Change General Motors Northern Colorado, this thread quickly posted onto the top of my screen instead of what I was looking for. Intrigued? ... YES, especially when you see the name Dellenbach linked to a site bearing the word Rip-Off, two adjectives that I had never known to be synonyms in my lifetime until this point, so I decided to read on.
Now granted, the comments I am about to make would more than likely hold no merit at all if I were just a regular bystander who was out to set the world straight on what I reallythought was happening. However, I will tell you that I had the somewhat recent opportunity to work directly with the characters named in the Original Report in a business setting and would like to express my thoughts on this situation.
First and foremost, it should be noted that this site directly quotes itself functioning as the following, Ripoff Report is a worldwide consumer reporting Web site and publication, by consumers, for consumers, to file and document complaints about companies or individuals. In the Laymans, I would anticipate that most literate, competent individuals would interpret this to mean filing complaints on bad service or product, NOT using it to classlessly imply deplorable acts of a former employer. Please tell me if I am wrong but hasnt our government already created an unbiased place for this to be debated ie: unemployment, disability and the judiciary system? Could this not have been handled in that forum instead?
So in a nutshell my point is very simple:
Jan, please stop making a joke out of yourself - at this point it is all you are doing. Accept your faults, act on the advice given to you regarding your degenerative muscle condition knowing that heavy consumption of alcohol and portraying yourself as the Human Ashtray will only worsen your cause on all facets and for Christs Sake please stop acting like the victim here. I know that it is the mentality that you have become accustom to for so long because you played the role of single parent, underpaid and unappreciated employee but you need to just get over it truth be known you bit the hand out that continually fed you and Im sure they just got tired of it. If they are denying you or your family service there must be a reason for it right? Geeze YOU even stated they are only in it for the almighty dollar, why would they then let good money go out the window if it were just that simple. Legally they are well within their rights, under regulations promulgated by the Colorado Civil Rights Commission a private business is permitted to RESERVE THE RIGHT TO REFUSE SERVICE TO ANYONE!
Personally, I do not really care about your situation as I am POSITIVE we all have our own issues.
I do care about the hard working people of the General Motors Service Department who could now be viewed in a negative way by a potential new customer due to your post that should not involve them whatsoever thats how I stumbled across this garbage.

I don't know what little robot you are because you are too afraid to state your name. I loved my job at Dellenbach Motors. I could not stand Carol Arceneaux. I did nothing in my daily routine to want to be fired or quit. I just could no afford to quit as any of you could not either. After nearly 6 years of abuse I deserve unemployment more than any one I know. I was sent home on Fri. nights many times by Carol A. asking me to think about being a team player, after asking her a question that she did not want to hear, but her door is always open for problems. What a joke. I spent more than one week-end crying wondering if I would have a job on Mon. for asking a question. Carol Arceneaux made rules up as she went. Her little minnie me walks directly in her shawdow. She is such a robot she can't even think for herself to make new rules. How about this one. On the phone. Can you hold please? Well what do you want them to hold on to? Come on minnie me if your going to be the leader why not follow a positive example and bring some common praise and kindness to the office. My daughter says it best. There are 2 types of managerial types. Ones who rule with fear and ones who rule with positive motivation. Everyone in that office is so afraid of making a mistake for fear of havinig to go into Carol A's office with the door closed. It's the constant cover your a*s game, day after day. Who ever trained you is at fault, is one of Carol A.'s favorites. Training? Even ask John Dellenbach about training. It's such a joke that he and many others say. It's the Dellenbach way. Ha Ha!! Almost every one in that office would like to quit, if you asked them honestly. Ask them honestly how they feel about Carol A., not a one of them will be truthful. If you heard me say Yes, I am finally out of this hell hole, you are correct. If who ever wrote this, Mike, really knew what went on in the office day after day after day. We all couldn't wait for the day Carol was gone on vacation or home sick or what ever. Like I said at the beginning, I loved my job at Dellenbach. If you took Carol A. out of the picture, the office would be a fine place to be. As long as she and minnie me are there, it will always be hostile and back stabbing will continue to go on. No I did not want to quit. At the end Carol A. did not even care anymore how I left she just wanted me out. Why would anyone of you allow someone to constantly be-little, harrase,call you names, embarrass you in front of others, throw things at you, and tell that person that they do not have the right to draw unemployment? Her giving a food card is just her way of buying you off. Keep your mouth shut. Put up with what I do and say to you. Here little doggie heres a bone for you. Who ever wrote this does not work in the office or is a Dellenbach. Shame on you.

Thank you Charles for expressing the views of likely all the employees at Dellenbach. As a group we have sympathy for our peers when it's warranted. Even Jan herself states in her posting that she wasn't getting fired because Carol didn't want her to collect unemployment. Why would Jan even mention that if she wasn't wanting to be asked to leave. It became increasingly clear as Jan stated to many employees, that she was doing everything she could to get fired so she wouldn't have to work and could collect benefits from the government. The day she finally was asked to leave, she was observed all smiles and stated "Hallelujah, I'm finally done with this f****g place" and raising her arms in happiness. Well, now we are all paying for her situation, including those who read this. She does not deserve employment here, and we refuse to help her or her family even as paying customers. Service can be refused to anyone, General Motors has no say in the matter.

I never had a problem with any of the employees and I too gave to people in need when they needed it. I have no bone to pick with you I had the greatest respect for you. I am not drugged, as you put it, I do have an illness, but it does not affect my brain. I can't believe after you observing the office girls and listening day after day to the hostility towards Carol, you can say what you have said. There was never a time I did not Thank all who helped me and that includes the Dellenbachs. This had to do with daily abuse that not only I put up with, but all the girls do. They are too scared to say anything or have enough respect for themselves to allow someone to demean them every day. I was so respectful of the entirer family except for Carol, until Mike pulled the stunt he pulled in the office the last day I was there. Money does not allow someone to tell you you are worthless or heartless. Frankly I am shocked at you. You talked just as much as I did behind their backs. Who is the actor here? At least I say it to their faces. I was always there for you too Charles. Always listened. Always tried my best to help in any way I could. I am really hurt by your statements and I now have zero respect for you. All the money in the world does not mean I have to be made to feel like I am worthless. I did not want this to be about money, but that is all some people know. I can't believe how 2 faced you are, not you. I really thought you were an honest man. Wow, you blow me away. Good luck to you Charles, just keep kissing it and you'll always have a job.

What an amazing one-sided story. Who would have thought that after 6 years, of being assisted with eveything in her life, Jan would write this type of story. I personally along with fellow employees and "family members" have donated money, time and tools for Jan and her family to enrich thier lives. I have listen to Jans stories and have been there with a shoulder when asked. Never questioning only trying to help.
Many an employee here at Dellenbach Motors has helped Jan and her family. Never once have I or any of my fellow employees asked for anything from Jan but her friendship. Now this. How bitter many of us feel. We now wonder, was it all a Show? Make believe? Have all the drugs affected her mental state. I personally think so. This is just so unbelievable.
I could go on and on but I won't. How sad it is. A lost soul and over 125 people who now have to wonder who they put thier love and faith in.
