I flew to Turkey and my return flight was with Delta Air Lines. They gave me the worst experience I have had in my life. Delta ripped two of my bags and they're damaged beyond repair. More importantly, they lost the folder that contained all the research I conducted while I was in Turkey. The whole purpose of my trip was to do the research and gather the information I need for my company. And Delta airlines lost it, making my entire trip a waste. Now I have nothing to show for my investment, and two damaged bags.
In addition to the above, the flight attendant discriminated against me. I needed help in placing my carry-on bag in the overhead storage cabinet because I'm not tall enough to reach, so I asked the flight attendant for his help. He turned to me and very rudly told me that he didn't have to help me. He didn't help and so one of the pasengers helped to place the bag. I filed a claim about this experience to Delta Airlines and this is the answer I got from them:"Respectfully, additional considerations would not be due. I am sorry to disappoint you, as I understand this is not the answer you were expecting."
Please help me. I feel very insulted&discriminated and have to go back to Turkey to gather my research again because they lost my research folder.

Money or Apology?

Looks to me that you were trying to get the airline to give you some reimbursement or something tangible. They should have apologized at the least. This is an incredible story. I've never in all my years of flying experienced a flight attendent who refused to help with baggage storage.
For one thing, your wrestling with the bag blocks the aisle and complicates the flight attendent's role in getting everybody seated and baggage stowed so that the flight can leave.

Should have had backup

Any important data, electronic or paper, should be backed up, especially on a trip. If you only had paper documents, you should have copied all of them and stored the copies elsewhere, or mailed them home ahead of your flight.
Better yet, you should have had electronic backup of those docs too, or done them up on electronic media and backed those up accordingly.
What exactly was the discrimination about? What ethnicity race gender vs what ethnicity race gender?

Discrimination?

Why is it that everyone who feels wronged in one way or another automatically yells, discrimination! What you described is merely a rude or lazy flight attendant. The airlines are full of them. How does that equate to discrimination? You should really look up the meaning of discrimination before you go accusing people of it. Spurious accusations tend to make people not take you seriously.

Sorry for your bad experience on your Turkey trip.

"...have to go back to Turkey to gather my research again because they lost my research folder. "
When you return from Turkey on your next trip, may I respectfully suggest that anything as important as your research folder should NEVER be placed in checked baggage.
If the flight attendant truly treated you as you stated (I've travelled a lot and only once had one remotely rude), you should take a different airline.
I'm not sure that approached discrimination, however.
