I decided to purchase an extended warranty with Delta Auto Protect when I bought my Ford F150 in 2015. In October 2018 my car broke down and needed a new driveshaft, so I had to get it towed to the nearest Ford dealership, which cost $74. Once my car was at the dealership, it was a back and forth between the dealership and Delta, as well as myself and Delta, to get the parts and labor needed even authorized. Anytime anybody, whether myself or the shop, contacted Delta, neither of us were able to get anyone on the phone, and left so many messages that I am seriously unable to recount the times I have called them. Neither me, or the shop, ever got a call back. After my truck was at the dealership for almost two weeks, and Delta's practices of not returning calls, I was finally able to pick up my truck. When I drove home the day I picked it up, it was immediately clear to me that something was still not right with my truck. Once I got home I immediately called the dealerhip who informed me that Delta had sent them used and refurbished parts to install. My contract did not mention  that they would  authorize refurbished parts to be installed. After driving my truck for two weeks I had to take it back to the shop because the vibrating got worse again.

The second time around, the dealership had to do a special kind of diagnostic in order to figure out what the issue was. It turned out that it was the driveshaft,  because Delta had only autorized the use of a refurbished part, which it was. The shop then contacted Delta to tell them that they needed them to send a new driveshaft, to which Delta's response was that they will not send any parts until the shop returned the refurbished parts back to them. So there my truck was, disassembled, standing at the dealership again, and I was without a working vehicle. After two weeks the shop finally called me telling me my truck was ready to go, but also informed me that I will have to pay for the part and labor myself, a total of 438.55$ (because Delta will not cover the diagnostic or taxes, but in Pennsylvania they are required to reimburse taxes) since they had been trying to contact Delta for those two weeks, but were not able to get a person to talk to on the line. I, myself, have also tried to contact Delta on multiple occasions (and I have records of all phone calls and attempts to contact Delta Auto Protect), without success. At this point I haven't even been reimbursed the towing fees, either, after talking to a certain Hector Cruz on multiple occasions who kept telling me to send over the invoice and they would send me a check. I sent him 3(!!) emails, still no check.

On the 12/24/2018, I drove to Delta Auto Protect's office in Philadelphia, because I simply had enough of not being able to speak to anyone who could actually get something done in regards to my claims. I got to the office building they claim to be located at. After I walked into the lobby and asked the information desk for the office of Delta Auto Protect, they said that no such company was located at this building. Well, that's when I called the hotline of Delta again, but I pretended to be interested in buying one of their warranties and asked them for their location. She gave me the address which I was already at. That's when she said she would put me through to someone higher up. I was finally put through to,  Hector Cruz, who asked me what I wanted. So I told him that I was at their supposed office location and I wanted to drop off paperwork, including my cancellation of their extended warranty because I simply have enough of dealing with them. Hector then told me that he could not come downstairs, nor let me come upstairs, because they didn't take any walk-ins due to security reasons and due to corporate policy.

After 6 weeks I finally received payment for towing, which was 74.00 Dollars. There is still an open invoice after vehicle was in the shop the 2nd time, because of refurbished parts sent by Delta Auto Protect, which had to be replaced. Delta Auto Protect paid for labor hours 216 Dollars for the first time of repair and do not want to know anything about the 2nd repair caused by their faulty parts. There were also necessary diagnostic tests required after the installation of faulty parts, which Delta refuses to acknowledge.

After all the problems I have had, I canceled my contract with Delta Auto Protect, although I still had about 18 months left on my contract. On the January 7th I received an E-Mail, with a cancellation confirmation, which they wanted me to sign. I went through said document and to my surprise they added a new paragraph that was different from the paperwork I had initially signed when purchasing their extended auto warranty. The newly added paragraph read as follows:

VII. CANCELLATION OF VEHICLE SERVICE CONTRACT Section D. At the time the sale was conducted on XXXXXXXXX there was a deferred registration fee of $250.00 and this is only due if contract is cancelled prior to the term start as noted above. Once the contract begins, it is activated and the registration fee is non-refundable.

Also they added a paragraph which stated, that I have to remove all my negative reviews.

None of this was in my original contract that I had signed. They simply added this on. The money of the invoice from Ford, which I had to pay up front to get my car back, was still not reimbursed to me. I sent them 5 E-Mails with the invoice from Ford, they ignored every single one of them.

Dean (Service Department) from John Kennedy Ford, Feasterville, Pa can verify this information, he was  also very involved attempting to contact Delta Auto Protect. Up to this day, I did not hear anything from this company.
