We purchased a Delta Ashton Touch 2O faucet from Lowes.  It worked great for about six months.  After that we had to use it mostly as a regular faucet.  Sometimes it workedt by touch, but mostly not.  It was hit or miss -- mostly miss.

Lowes told me to contact Delta.  Each call to Delta had prety much the same response -- change the battery.  I told Customer Service that the indicator light showed the battery to be good, but they said "change the battery".  So I changed the battery, but still no fix.

They told me they don't send anyone out to fix the problems, and that I should call another plumber.  After $340 for the faucet and about $150 for a plumber, who can afford to drop more money on a dog of a product?

Can't decide if the faucet or customer service sucks the worst.

Sounds as if you are paid by companies to rebut negative posts against them.  I've supervised customer service departments for some large companies and the old saying "the customer is always right" is the way customer service should be run -- even in today's world.  And by the way, the faucet comes with a 5-year warranty.  You turn a faucet on and you turn it off.  .In this case by touch.  If it works for six months and then is intermittant, it's not misuse or abuse -- it's a bad unit.

 The problem is that you used for at least six months. Is it possible you are confusing a manufacturers warranty with an ACTUAL warranty? A manufacturers warranty ONLY covers the quality of the build. NOT use. Or in their vernacular "wear and tear". Customer service DOES NOT MEAN give YOU your way no matter what. A long time ago manufacturers spotted the SCAM that consumers pull and stopped just giving the consumer their way. YOU can try and play the victim but there is a reality here that YOU are ignoring in favor of playing the victim. YOU expect and DEMAND that they replace YOUR faucet FREE OF CHARGE with ZERO costs to yourself. Its YOUR self entitled nature. Now stop for a min and THINK.

Flip it around. Put yourself in a similar situation. YOU make a product, six months AFTER the purchase of the product YOU make, a customer comes to YOU and DEMANDS that YOU give them their way. What would YOU do?? Would YOU bend over backwards to give the best customer service?? Yep you would. BUT!!!! YOU would expect the person who purchased the item YOU made to take responsibility for THIER problem. YOU don't know if WHAT they are telling YOU is true or not. Or if THEY are trying THIER very best to make YOU eat the costs of THIER problem. Basically SCAMMING YOU!!! THAT is what YOU are doing.

YOU take no ownership of YOUR problem. YOU do not accept that YOU had six months of use and during that period of time, YOU may have caused the issue that YOU are complaining about. Then YOU have the not so very bright idea to go on the web and defame them JUST TO GET YOUR WAY!!!! YOU are expecting that because YOU made this post that THEY are going to all of a sudden do a 180 and give YOU your way. Probably thinking that because YOU saw someone have a modicum of success with this avenue, that YOU would give it a try and see if YOU can BLACKMAIL them into doing what YOU want. Unfortunate for YOU that not only is defaming anyone on a media outlet like the web illegal but your secret plan of internet blackmail is going to backfire on you since THIS SITE never removes a post.

So if they so chose, THEY could go after YOU and THEY WOULD WIN!!!!! YOU would be fined for EACH instance YOUR defaming report is on the first page of a search engine!! Meaning that as long as YOUR POST can be easily viewed YOU could potentially be paying for a VERY long while. The point is, in YOUR attempt to get YOUR WAY, YOU have put yourself in danger of lawsuits. All because YOU refuse to do the adult thing and admit that this is YOUR property and it is YOUR responsibility to replace it. Customer service DOES NOT MEAN GIVE YOU YOUR WAY!!!! Until the American consumer learns that they will continue to experience these type of problems.
