I have used, and highly recommend the website magazinepricesearch.com for years and have always received the best magazine subscription deals and the service has been expeditious.  (ASIDE: I am sending them a copy of this complaint about one of their vendors.)

However, there is ONE magazine vendor at that website I would never use again and I advise anyone else NOT to use them -- deltamagazines.com.

I ordered TV Guide (a weekly publication) for my mother who is an elderly widow after our local newspaper quit providing their version of the weekly TV schedule.

I ordered the subscription on November 20, 2009 and she still isn't receiving it (as of February 12, 2010).  Accordingly to their website, it can take up to 12 weeks to start receiving the magazine, but a weekly publication taking 12 weeks to start??? -- unconscionable!  Especially since they've already received their payment...three months ago (so unfortunately I can't dispute the charge with my credit card company!

I called them on January 12th to check on the order; whoever answered the phone mumbled so badly I thought I had the wrong number.  I was succiently (AKA rudely) told to basically not bother them until the 84th day (AKA 12 weeks); they were not the least bit helpful or even very courteous.

On January 13, I sent them an email to which I never even receive the courtesy of a reply.

As today is 12 weeks to the day, I'll be talking to mumble mouth again and not taking no for an answer.  I imagine I'll have to fight them to get the entire year's subscription I paid for back in November 2009 (not have it backdated to November 2010).

Basically I have two points:

1.  DO use magazinepricesearch.com for great deals and usually terrific customer service from their vendors (and again great savings; also recommended by AARP).

2.  DO NOT ever, ever, ever use deltamagazines.com even if they are the cheapest (not unless you want to wait OVER THREE MONTHS for your subscription to start and with no customer service whatsoever).
