Delta Moving Inc. D.M.I. Movers Major Fraud Charges Simi Valley California

American Moving and Storage contracted to DMI in spite of telling us they were handling the move and were not brokers. DMI showed up at my disabled brother's apartment in Concord, California with an Enterprise rental van. Everything had been packed by my brother and sister-in-law except for 2 odd shaped lamps that they couldn';t find boxes to fit. DMI packed the lamps using four boxes. I signed the sheet that had the four boxes on there but was not given a copy. I was promised they would photocopy it and send it to me. Instead they added $1,931.55 in phony packing charges. They claimed they packed 223 boxes when by their admission only 132 pieces total including furniture was shipped. They tried to claim that there was 5,000 pounds and refused a reweigh or proof of weight. They even refused the police request for documentation. Our furniture was held hostage and we were told that if they didn't get payment in full for all the charges including the phony packing charges that our things would be dumped in a warehouse and they would move on and we would never see our things again. There is several thousand dollars worth of damage that they have refused to pay for. I am a senior citizen living on social security. My brother is 100% disabled. I was moving him out here to be his caregiver. It took every cent we had and having to pay for fraudulent charges is reprehesible. I have photographic proof that they did not pack anything other than the two lamps. I have written testimony from the people who packed. I have photgraphic proof of the damage. These people are just plain crooks and fraud mongers. Never use them.
