On December 26, 2005 I purchased a 1998 VW Passat from Dennis Auto Sales for $6,000.00. On January 6, 2006 the engine went out in the car. It is going to cost me $6,300.00 to get a rebuilt engine for the car.
When I informed the dealer of the issue in good faith expecting an appology and an offer to either fix the car, replace the car or maybe refund my money, I was told that it was not their problem. I was told that the car was running fine when I left the lot and that anything that happened afterwards was not their concern.
It does not matter to them that I had only had the vehicle for two weeks and that I will have to pay more to repair the car than I paid to purchase the car before I can even drive the car.
This was supposed to be my christmas gift to myself instead it is turning out to be the reason for me not being able to celebrate my birthday or any other day anytime soon.
