Dennis Cleveland/Adam Pennington dba Affordable Towing Failed to pay fair wage/percentage of loads/ left derogatory statements on DAC report. Bolivar, Springfield, Joplin Missouri

 In May 2014 I went to work for Affordable Towing of Bolivar, Missouri and was immediately sent out without benifit of any proper training to pick up a Prime truck in Washington state. On arrival I found that the wheel lift was not functional on the truck I was dispatched with and that certain other important safety equipment was not in the truck. That on this first trip I was required on not less than 3 occurances I was required to make repairs to the truck that took several hours each, being assured I would be reimbursed for my time. Did not happen, I on several instances was sent to tow vehicles from other states and instead of paying the agreed 25% of $3.00 per mile he would discount the trip at a flat rate well below the normal rate and only pay the percentage based on that figure but not inform the driver till the figures appear on the pay settlement. that on most over the road loads hauled on his flatbeds he would only pay as little as 8% of the load again not giving the driver the option before loading. That on occassion he is office manager would lose invoices, timesheets or reciepts and blame the driver for not having turned them in. That his yard supervisor would falsify maintance records on commercial motor vehicles and the vast majority of his vehicles are either unsafe or his drivers are unqualified to operate them.

The company lost its tow contract with Prime when a driver took a truck that I had tagged out of service for brake issues and rolled through a red light nearly causing a major accident with Primes safety director. When the company lost its contract with Prime, the Medium and Heavy towing was insufficient to sustain its Heavy Wrecker drivers, and despite my objections he required me to do mechanical work on his fleet of junk but didn't want to spend what was nescesary to properly repair his trucks. Asked me to sign off on all commercial motor vehicle annual safety inspections without providing the vecles for that inspection. then the last 7 weeks I worked for them they failed to pay me saying that I had not submitted timesheets although they were dropped into their safe every friday as required.

After leaving for not being paid, it took nearly another month to get a check of any kind and then the only paid me $1000. shorting ne a total of $1655 but claims to be a christian. Dennis Cleveland and Adam Pennington are thieves in every sense of the word. After screwing me around like that they put derogatory statements on my DAC report causing me to have a difficult time getting employment with any real reputable company. It is my intent to sue the hell out of this company and file all paperwork with the DOT to see them out of business.
