I am extremely angry with this company and worst of all I sent 4, yes 4 family members who also bought cars from them because of my word. We went through a rough spell like many others this last couple of years and our credit dropped from a 720 to a 520, yeah that bad. So we are trying to start over and rebuild. Our "dealer" told us to have a cosigner for a year then bring the car back in and they would trade it in on something bigger (more family sized) like I wanted in the first place. So I have to humiliate myself and ask my dad who agrees to cosign then they get my dad to sign without me? Saying it was cheaper and lower interest but it would help rebuild my credit because I was the one making the payment. So a year and a half pass and I think okay let's give it a try.. I go in and they tell me if I am lucky my car is worth 11k this is a car I bought at over 23k and THEY financed it!
They do not tell you what the percentage rate is and only tell you payments. I do it thinking this is going to rebuild MY credit and help us out. I am paying 427 dollars a month (29.9% interest) which I found out AFTER I go to trade it in. Then they tell me that I need to understand that my used car depreciates an additional 2-300 per month along with my payment and my car is a Mitsubishi Eclipse GV and has all leather, loaded to the tilt, etc. I told him basically what your telling me is that you ripped me off and lied. That "one" of a kind and hard to get car, he is now tell me was a piece of junk with less than 28000 miles on it? But I could go ahead and keep this car and buy another one if I would like with only 1000 down because this one is in my dads name not mine. I actually considered this for a bit because I do have good income and I am trying to rebuild my credit, but then I came to my senses and ran with my money, save yourself folks don't do what I did. I have 3.5 years left to pay on a car my whole family can't fit in because this was such a "good deal".

How Do You Find Out The Interest Rate AFTER You Try To Trade It In?

Did you read the contract BEFORE you signed it? As a buyer who freely admits to having bad credit, you will pay a higher interest rate. You would have seen that if you read the contract and if that was not agreeable to you, then you could have walked out.

This rebuttal is not intended to resolve the complaint filed here against the Dennis Dillon Auto Park. Instead, this is intended to notify those who would read this report that "Dennis Dillon Auto Park" and "Dennis Dillon RV & Marine Center" are two separate entities.
Dennis Dillon RV & Marine Center invites discerning consumers to ensure that any complaints made against the Dennis Dillon Auto Park not be transferred to the Dennis Dillon RV & Marine Center in a type of "guilty by association" fashion. While we acknowledge at Dennis Dillon RV & Marine Center that despite our most diligent efforts, we may not reach 100% complete customer satisfaction, we will continue to work towards that goal. We cannot speak for the Auto Park, nor can they speak for us.
When consumers search "Dennis Dillon RV" any reports for the many other Dennis Dillon-branded entities may come up. We in RV & Marine will do our best to directly address any recent complaints by consumers submitted to Rip Off Report, in keeping with our mission of striving for 100% customer satisfaction (or at least 100% customer understanding and expectation management).
While we regret this consumer's issue at the Auto Park, we invite all consumers to research the companies they do business with--and more importantly--the nature of business transactions in the automotive and recreational vehicle markets, as assets in each case historically depreciate.
