I received a call at work from a gentleman that spoke in a very heavy accent- seemed to be Pakistan. He told me my home was being watched and that I was under invetigation for fraud. He tried to tell me he was investigating this for a company called cashnet.

When I questioned this, he told me that the company that notified the federal governement about me, did not wish to speak to me. When I asked for a 800 number or correct contact information to check on them, he told me no, and told me I could only speak to him or his supervisor JACK SMITH; whom he placed on the phone. When I asksed for his telephone number it was a different telephone area code. He told me I needed to send them a notorized letter with me name, banking information, and photo ID via fax. When I told him I wanted th contact number for the CashNet company he promptly yold me no, they did not wish to speak to me any longer. He told me he was with a company called Law and Investigations that works for the federal government. He also told me that he was going to notify the local authorities, and that my home was under survelliance. When I then questioned this, he started yelling at me, to the point I could not understand him with the stong accent he had. He told me he would then call me back the next day. He then called my employer stating I was a fraud and told them the story.

I have notified my employer this is a scam, and that I am checking on it.

I DID NOT provided these ppl with any information.
