Received a message on my voicemail at 3:47PM on 1/27/15. Stating: This message is intended for Laura Bxxxxx. This is Renal James from the Department of Legal Affairs at US Scheduling and I was trying to reach you in regards to a very important issue. This is a verbal notification for you in regards to the enforcement action that has been started against you.

If for any reason, you are busy to call back then I would suggest you to have your retained attorney to do it for you, as delaying calling us might end up into a legal mess for you.

I hope you will take this right and call me back. This is Renal James with the Department of Legal Affairs. My number is 530-589-8661. Looking forward to speak to you. Until then, you have a blessed day and Goodbye."

Having supported many federal agencies I knew this was a scam, but called the number to see what they said. It was an answering maching, with a woman's voice (Indian accent) saying this is the Department of Legal Affairs at the US Treasury...lots of noise, like a call center in the background.

Several things give this away as a scam: the accent combined with the incorrect grammar, there is no such Department of Legal Affairs at US Scheduling (or Treasury for that matter), and they would have a 1-800 or 1-888 #, and USUALLY they will not contact you via phone, but through snail mail.
