Dept of Law & Investigation, Dept of Fraud Investigation, American Law Division, Law Offices of Shawn Woods Mark Thomas, Melvin Smith, Devon Harrassing & threatening! Rude & hard to understand! Calls everyday 3 or 4 times! He gave my ss# in a message he left! NY, TX, CA, Nationwide

For a month now, I have got about 4 calls a day from various numbers. I don't answer because I don't know the number and I'm on daytime minutes on my cell. I have over 20 messages saved and have deleted about 10. Every one is from a guy that sounds like he's from the Middle East and is hard to understand. Melvin Smith and Mark Thomas are the names they give me and they claim to be from what sounds like a gov't agancy (although I never heard of our gov't having these agencies) and a law firm. They say the same thing, almost to the word, every message and I can hear others saying it to someone else in the background. They tell me that my name and ss# is under investigation and that I need to call them back immediately or I will have severe legal issues. They say that they can not go into detail in a message. They also say that if I don't call them back that all they can do is wish me luck because they are sending it to NY if I don't return their call in 15 minutes. They Have been saying that for over a week! The guy has my ss# because he left it on one of the messages. I tried to look up the names, companies and phone numbers but only came back with information claiming it all to be a scam and everyone has the same story! I am filing a report under every name and number and with the police.
