Design Savers - U.S. Healthcare Plans Misleading high-pressure sales practices require payment over the phone, ripoff Pompano Beach Florida

I am looking for cheaper health insurance and I have a pre-existing condition which many health-insurance plans won't cover without a waiting period or without charging very high premiums. Out of curiosity, I investigated health insurance on the Internet to see if I could find a better deal.

I know that there are frauds out there, of course. I was contacted by Design Savers U.S. Healthcare. He proceeded to tell me all the benefits but I asked to see something in writing. I told him I do not do business over the phone. He then wanted payment up front. I told him I will not give my credit card numbers over the phone.

I finally told them not to call me again. He would not tell me which doctors participated in the program, etc. The cost was over $200 per month, which in itself does not make it a better bargain.

My reason for filing this ripoff report is that the marketing practices and sales practices are highly questionable. They keep you on the phone telling you how great everything is and don't give you anything in writing. Any reputable business will SEND you written information.

They say they don't do that as they are trying to eliminate the "paper trail." Maybe that should be taken literally. They don't want anyone to find out what they are really up to.

I had to ask if there was anything written down and they gave me the website address. I had to ASK for it. I looked up the website address while I was on the phone with him (I have DSL). The website didn't tell me anything, even where the company is LOCATED!

If you are contacted by this company, be very wary of signing up with them. I would never give them any info over the phone. While I was talking to him, I heard whoops and hollers, and laughter in the background. I have no idea where this is located but it's highly unprofessional.
