They promote I will get around 50 designs for my web project with guaranteed money back if not satisfied.They reviewed my submission and they said it was very well detailed. After the 10 day period goes by, I get ZERO designs.
The SAME rep now says my submission is not good, and strongly suggests I try again, and he will help get submissions.
So I let him take charge.
- He sends requests to companies that dont do web sites
- I get ONE submission with his help, who never followed up on my comments
I ask for my money back and he says not ALL of it, b/c I got one submission.
I say I was going get all the money until you intervened and you brought ONE crappy vendor.
He says thats the way it is.
STAY away from them. It is an OLD model. It doesnt work any more.
The designers want guaranteed upfront money.
Anyway I went to Amex for my refund and screw DesignCrowd- let them fight Amex.

DesignCrowd COO contacted me directly. He was apologetic about the misunderstanding, but essentially took no responsibility and blamed me for not understanding their policy.
He said if I removed this report they would refund. Well I can not remove this.
However I must say it was nice that he wrote me with the offer, eventhough it seems his motives seemingly were not altruistic, as he contacted me after this was filed.
Hey whatever, Designcrowd is large site , but on the decline so this little incident is not going to make or break them.
It would have been nice if they followed through before I wrote this here, as they had the opportunity to do so.
I wish them the best, and hopefully this was a learning lesson, that it is not only about the dollar, it is customer service.
