Designer Decors, Kraftmaid ripoff decors charged for upgraded cabinets and delivered a lesser quality. Kraftmaid stands behind him Houston Texas Middlefield Ohio

After comparing a few of quotes I decided on Designer Decors. The prices were realtively close and they were local. They were also referred from Kraftmaid. Well I ordered solid wood cabinets. plywood sides. I paid in full at the time of placing the order. Robert gave me order numbers for items I couldn't locate. One of these items came in wrong. I couldn't get an invoice or order number to track the order. Finally I couldn't get even an about time of delivery. After placing the order I wait 9 & 1/2 weeks. I find out Designer Decors had held the order for 30 days before placing it with Kraftmaid. The order came in and what should I see? Partical board sides. One cabinet came in the wrong heigth. Well, I called Robert at Designer Decors and he denied everything.

So I called Kraftmaid, no help here I can not even get missing hardware from their customer service. There is one other thing you should know about kraftmaid product at least what I received, the product is junk. looks good but it is junk. Partical board sides, patical board everything, then the partical board is covered with a paper photogragh image, with the exception of the face frame and doors,which are wood, for about 180.00 per lineal foot. The quality isn't what you would expect as far as craftsmanship either, gaps, pieced together wood on the microwave cabinet, in general slapped togther. The hardware is of decent quality though. I think their reputation is carring them for now. Although I was trying to save time ordering Kraftmaid assuming that their product and service was of high quality standards, I risked my reputation as a quality remodeling contractor, I won't make that mistake again.
