  Back in june of 2016 I had been searching for a new repo lift for my brand new Ram Truck. So I decided to try a Gladiator lift by Detroit wreckers. When i told Mike the owner of Detroit Wreckers i wanted to purchase the Gladiator he confirmed he had it built and ready to be installed. So i asked him how soon he could get me in for an appointment and he replied he's booked for the next couple months. Being there are no other places that sell the Gladiator or have experience with this newer designed wheel lift, i was concerned I couldn't wait that long due to loss of business with no tow truck. So i asked Mike if he had anyone else that could do a professional installation. Mike conned me into Driving all the way to Chapel Hill Texas to his supposed new franchise with a completely different name. So i fell for this Mike guys B.S. and took the drive. Mike seemed like such a genuinely concerned person that i was completely taken by surprise.

As soon as i arrived in Texas i soon found out that this shorter version of the Gladiator wheel lift wasn't even available. So these scammer friends of Mike tried getting me to buy a lil Hercules wheel lift. They had one on one of their tow trucks so i tried it out moving a few cars around and let me tell you it was the biggest pile of crap i ever towed with. So these bandit friends of Mike figured out another way to scam me. They offered to install the lift of my choice for a reduced rate for the wasted trip all the way to Texas from Chicago. So we aggreed on 1200.00 labor to install a Dynamic 701 wheel lift. That price seemed very fair being they were installing a clutch pump with it. So this is where the nightmare really started.

When the lift arrived 2 days later, their installer walked off the job. Meanwhile my brand new Ram 3500 crew cab was sitting in their shop with bed completely removed why i don't know. Because you don't need frame reinforcement with Dynamic 701 slide in units. Now meanwhile I'm calling up Mikes phone at Detroit Wreckers like crazy because he was totallly ingnoring my calls. When i called him with a blocked number he answered and basically told me sorry I'm on my own! Now 3 whole weeks later these idiot buddies of Mikes in Texas finally get truck put back together. Total improper installation of the Dynamic 701. Then because i wouldn't except my truck in this condition, Detroit wreckers and his criminal buddies drafted up a 4100.00 bill and threatened to lien my truck if i didn't pay. So i called the local sheriff who by the way has towing contract with Mikes cronies. Deputies basically told me its a civil matter and i would have to pay because work was done on truck. I even had email proof of install price quote on original Gladiator. Sheriff still said its a civil matter and they cannot get involved. So Mike and his buddies got to split up all my money. I ended up having to have my truck completely redone when i got back home. Another 2300.00 later my truck was finally able to make me some money.

Do not trust Detroit wreckers! They seem like they're on the up and up but they are not i assure you. Mikes charm is how he screws people so well. Believe me, Mike is a professional scam artist. look at his reviews they are so fake. Its almost like the customers were reading what to say off a card. What a joke this place is. Mike and Lee belong in prison for what they did to me. If you are in the Repossession or Towing Industry please spread the word about what these lying scumbags Did to me. I have never been put in such a messed up situation before. Felt like i was basically being held captive 1200 miles from home. There was a point i considered using force to get my truck the hell out of there but i just said to myself its not worth going to jail over pieces of garbage like Detroit wreckers. Karma is a son of a gun! Update 5-7-2017 I just recently found out Detroit Wrecker Sales crooked franchise in Chapel Hill Texas is no longer in business with Con Man Mike at Detroit Wrecker Sales. Karma is sometimes slow, but definitely prevails in the end. One day Justice will catch up to Mike as well
