DHR Lauderdale County, Alabama Attorney John Harris, Lauderdale County Probate Judge, Florence Nursing and Rehab Center Fabricate info to gain financial control of patient Florence AL

After providing and caring for my mother, in my home, for over 30 years, she suffered two strokes. Following the second, she contracted a MRSA infection at Mitchell-Hollingsworth Rehab. She was sent to Vanderbilt where numerous conditions were found that had been overlooked locally. Multiple surgeries later, she was transferred to FNRC for Rehab. I met with them at every progress meeting and stressed that my home could not accommodate a wheelchair. After a year in Rehab, part of this in quarantine for MRSA, their report indicated she could walk up to 30 feet. I knew different, but, for the first time in my life, I was hospitalized for four days in ICU. During these four days, FNRC called me 13 times, so as soon as I was discharged, I discovered it was concerning a haircut!

This was used to report abandonment to DHR, in addition FNRC accused me of mishandling my mother's money! She has fallen, hurt the surgical arm, and contracted active MRSA again, but they tell me the doctor made the decision that quarantine wasn't necessary, even with a port implanted, and refuse to show me or discuss with me the fall. Wednesday of this week, her part-time caseworker from DHR invited me to attend her doctors appointment today. I arrive, Moms there, DHR appears. My Mom asked who she was, I told her her part-time caseworker. The DHR caseworker interjected "we aren't going to talk about that", called the police and had me escorted from the doctors office! My Mom is in a panic mode, but DHR is holding her hostage. The Probate judge fell for their story, awarded conservator to Harris, and he's been dragging this out since January, charging by the hour ($400)! This scam is obvious! I cannot believe that these crooks scam the elderly out of everything, then DHR basically abandons them. Sad and pitiful. I hope they all end up in a place like they've stuck my Mother and keep their only living family from seeing them. I hope God has mercy on these thieves!
