NEVER buy a timeshare from Diamond Resorts International. They took over ILX, from whom I had purchased. ILX lied too, but they are bankrupt and gone. "ILX Acquisitions" took over with Diamond in charge and Diamond employees on the Board. My maintenance fees have risen over 40% in just the last two years. It is no longer economically viable and my $15,000 membership is not worth a penny. They are currently on eBay for $0.01 and not selling or others pay thousands to have them taken off of their hands. They will not take it back and will continue to extract outrageous fees. If you stop paying they ruin your credit.
Do not believe what they say. They are so good at making you believe in a two-hour sales presentation that this is a good deal. It is a license for them to suck you dry for the rest of your life. I notice they file a rebuttal to every post with an apparent offer to help. I have talked to them already and there is no real help available from DRI. There is no buyback program and the most they will do is let you pay in installments.
Beware the timeshare scam.
Don't offer to help me, DRI, unless you are willing to buy it back. I'll take 50% of what I paid or make me an offer. But I know you will not. I have already asked.

Everything I said is accurate. It is also true that they do make improvements and manage their resorts well. But the economics of it are not what I bought and no longer are viable for me. Some people are happy, or claim to be happy owners. They pop up on forums in defense of DRI. Many others are unhappy and get no relief or buy back offers.
Also true that the timeshare sales staff is excellent. They hone their craft every day. Beware the alluring presentations. If there is no cooling off period DO NOT SIGN THE PAPERS.

I have been with Diamond Resorts for years and have been very Happy with them,i know they took over some Bad properties in bankrupsy's in horrible conditions and have to pass the cost on upgrading them to Diamond standers to be able to give us first class Vacations down the road..
I don;t feel it is fair for you to slander them like that, they are doing a great job renovating all the properties they take over and there for we all will have better vacations .down the road....

That's what happen with timeshares, at any company, it's usually always the same story, and unfortunately there's NO WAY that the resort will take your timeshare back. I know a company called Mexican Timeshare Solutions that can give you a free consultation on how to get rid of your timeshare, this is their website:
(((link redacted)))
contact them to see what you can do next, if you let them get away with it they will keep charging expensive fees
