Signed up for Dickey's "Big Yellow Cup Club" to get offers via email. Received an email in response with an offer for a free "Big Yellow Cup" drink at Dickey's, no purchase necessary, nothing saying coupon could not be combined with any other offer. A few days later, received another coupon via email, this time for my birthdasy (which had just passed) offering BOGO (Buy One, Get One free) sandwich. Both coupons were only good for about 2 weeks, so I went in the next week, ordered my 2 sandwiches and a big Yellow Cup, and was told they do not accept more than one coupon offer per purchase. This was a 100+ degree day in Arizona, and I had specifically anticipated a nice big drink on my walk back across campus. I showed the guy that the coupons were for two different menu items, and they did not say not ot be used with any other offer, and he mumbled something about having a lot of promotions, and they couldn't accept more than pone coupon per purchase. I said a third time that I thought they were legally obligated to honor both coupons, and he ignored that and instead told me my alleged total. I pointed out to him that the total he had given me was wrong - it should have been $6.25 for one sandwich and $2.25 for one side, but the total he gave me was almost $10. He recalculated the total, correctly, but failed to give me my receipt. I was still telling him that he was supposed to honoe the coupon, and he was still ignoring me, so I was distracted and did not notice that he had failed to give me my receipt. Later that day, after I sent a message through Dickey's web site, the local manager called me and ap[ologized, saying that the guy was wrong. She said he had never done this before - but, as I pointed out, he very easily could have done it many times before, but this was just the first time she had heard of it. Most people would just pay for the drink, and allow Dickey's to continue this deceptive, illegal, "gotcha" practice.

Wow, yet another person who did not read what I wrote, and does not recognize right from wrong. Saying that no business accepts more than one coupon simply denies the facts that I stated. And it's not about the price of the drink, it's about honoring a written promise. Too many peoiple have no values today, appafrently.

Not fair

hello, its not fair to comment bad about a small business for wrong reasons and petty stuff. Everything costs and you have to be reasonable. No business accepts more than one coupon. I think it's unfair and unethical for you to expect so much of free food. If you can't pay for a drink why do you have to eat out. Go make something for yourself and save. Keep in mind owning a small business is extremely harder than you think. Please be respectful to the employee and the owner. I am not affiliated to anyone. Was reading about the brand ran into this. I felt compelled to register and post after I read your comments.

Wow, you really can't see the simple situation here? Yes, I was trying to get "something for nothing", but ONLY because that is exactly what they promised, in writing. Contact a consumer protection attorney or public agency and see if they agree with you that Dickey's was not legally compelled to honor their written promise.
And you say that agree with the franchise owner - what exactly does that mean? I do not know what the woner thinks, and I said nothing about the owner, but the employee on site refused to honor the coupon, and the manager agreed with me that the employee should have honored it. Your rebuttal makes no sense whatsoever.

Sounds like you wanted something for nothing. I agree with the FRANNCHISE holder ie: yep they are franchises not corporate owned. Dickey's has been around for a VERY long time for one reason - they sell great BBQ TEXAS style and NO I do not work for them but did go to school with them!
